Spent a few hours at DL today. It was spectacular.

I left San Diego at 8 was in the park by 9:45. Absolutely no traffic. Parked on Daisy level Row 1C in parking garage. Got on first tram I came to.

Rode horseless carriage up Main St., then walked on to IASW. Then walked through Mickey and Minnie's houses in Toon Town then rode Cartoon Spin. From there I hopped on Disney Railroad. My friend Carolyn called, she was at Opera House. So I met her there. The two of us then picked up a FP for Indy then rode Pirates, 10 min wait at most. We then rode Splash Mtn which was also about a 10 min wait. Got absolutely SOAKED.

We then tried to dry out and had lunch at Hungry Bear.

Then we road Indy with Fast Passes. Sat on bench, dried out some more. Took in Mary Poppins show in front of castle.

Then did a bit of window shopping on Main St (bough a caramel apple and some coconut patties, yum). Then we said good bye and I was on my way home. Left park at around 2:30 and got home around 4 p.m.

It was awesome. No lines, small crowds, picture perfect weather. Love the off season.:cool1:

Off season blows... i miss ELP. :'(

probably my favorite moments are right before ELP ^_^

Sounds like you had a FUNtastic time but now this is for Albort...................:sad2:
hey hey hey, that is no way to talk, castmembers are suppose to excite us about going to Dl. That took my excitment level down even more then it has been on it's own, this is a first for me, getting closer and I don't wanna go, I think it's all due to my $$$$$ situation, damn, excite me

GailT,

You should be excited about going to DL. It was FUNTASTIC. Truly.

I had such a good time I'm thinking about staying at a hotel and going for a couple of days mid-week.

It probably is the money worry bringing you down....

That sounds heavenly! I sure wish we still lived in San Diego. We loved going up for the day during the off-season.

Yes, they do a Mary Poppins show right in front of the castle. I'm not sure of the exact time but it was right around noon or a bit thereafter. It's the button band from the movie, plus Mary and Bert. They sing 3-4 songs, including of course, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. They also include kids into their act, having them dance and sing with chimney sweep broomsticks. It's really cute. I'm not sure if it's listed on the official schedule. I've seen it about 3 times.

I didn't ride Nemo, but passed by it at around 9:30. I would estimate it was a 1.5 hour wait.
