I'm leaving for california in two days and my friend told me like so many rides are closed!
I know its like the time when the refurbish and stuff but its really sad.
I will probably never get to go again and Fantasmic, along with all of Tom Sawyers Island is closed. The train is even closed!!!! and then like Mr Toads Wild Ride, and Splash Mountain! :[
Me and the friend I am going with are so sad :/

Does anyone know if there is a way that any of those could reopen within the next week?:wizard:

The train is not currently closed, nor is Mr. Toad. You will miss F!, Toms Island and Splash. But, really there is so much to do and see that missing those 3 things is really not that bad. If you want to see and do everything you really need to go during peak season. The trade off for the peakseason is the heat and crowds. Its all about give and take. Most of the refurbs you are concerned with have been known and on the schedule for MONTHS.

A few more things that will impact your trip: ride Indy early, it will not have fast pass while you are there. Screamin' wont open until 1pm. And the Tree house is closed for some unplanned repairs

Disney Dancer,
I am sorry you are sad about so many things being closed, but you simply must appreciate the fact that you will be in Disneyland and will have a fabulous time. Please don't be sad! There are so many wonderful things to experience, it will still be very magical. And don't say you will never be back....you appear to be very young and I am sure that somewhere down the line in life you will return to the original House of the Mouse:thumbsup2

Have a wonderful trip, and oh, the weather is supposed to be perfect;)

Dancer, I am not trying to make light of how you feel, but we just had another "I am so depressed" thread a couple days ago. What strikes me as ironic was the reason for being depressed. That visitor will have everything you are missing (all the rides and shows available), but was still expressing depression. You will have everything that visitor was depressed about not having (lower crowds - the visitor was going to DLR in late June when it will be more crowded).

Again, not to disparage anyone, but the "I am so depressed because [insert reason here]" is not in the spirit of the Happiest Place on Earth. I understand that people are being lighthearted about it (as I am sure you are here) but no one is going to get a visit to DLR where everything is open, the weather is perfect, the shows are plentiful and excellent, the food is abundant and perfect (and cheap), the children are happy all the time and well rested, and the park is empty with no lines for anything. The way some people write their threads it sounds like anything less than the above is grounds for disappointment. So, I say to everyone, "Cheer Up!" You are going to Disneyland!

Dancer, just being in DL will be enough to make you happy. I am sure even though I went at peak season during Christmas I missed alot of thing but you know what I had the best time ever. I never thought I would be going back after 9 months I will be there agin and I probably will still miss things but that does not matter, i'll be in DL which is all that is needed for the experience, sights and sounds of the happiest place on earth :thumbsup2
