It Smelled Like Florida ...

... as I walked home this afternoon during a very big - just overhead - thunder storm the smell coming from the gardens reminded me of my holidays. Shame we're not going back for a few years to smell the real thing.

Love that Florida rain smell I was only thinking earlier how much I enjoy a good storm in Florida, but it just makes my TV play up here

my dh is working down near London, he phoned before to say it had been thundering - reminded him of Epcot as every time we go to Epcot theres a storm!! we have manged to have one dry night there and stay for the fireworks in the past 14 years

Sometimes when I get in the car and put the A/C on it reminds me of Florida

We are just back from Florida and we kept saying everyday that we hoped there would be a thunderstorm, we didn't get any up until the last 3 days before we came home and loved them when they came. The smell was wonderful.

You made me think of the time we were in Epcot and Hurricane Wilma was on it's way - we were at one of the Eat to the Beat concerts, during the Food and Wine festival in 2005 I think , in the American pavilion watching the group Starship - do you remember them? There must have been only a dozen or so people there with the rain lashing in on either side - they were so good though! Memories

I know its weard but I LOVE the smell of the chlorine in there water!!! Happy memory's!
