So I have been working on the Menu database and have been seeing sirloins replace fillet mignon in restaurants. I spent about an hour at guest relations the other day looking through their menu collection (which i had to restrain myself from running away with) and found the restaurants that have NOT dropped Fillet Mignon off their menus. Here they are: Le Cellier, Jiko, Yachtsman, and Citricos. As I get more information I will keep you updated.

P.S. Artist Point dropped Fillet Mignon off their menu. I am heading over to that hotel tonight so if the menu that I read at MK was wrong I will let you know. :)

It seems the Disney Dining Plan doesnt pay off when everyone orders the Fillet :(

Also a new sushi bar opened up at Poly about 3 months ago. I ate there last night and it was excellent place for a light snack before fireworks show. The shrimp tempura was wrapped in a soy bean wrap which I had never seen before but was very good. They use seaweed wrap on the lava roll that we had also.

I just got off the wdw dine phone line and Narcoosees still has the fillet for now... :) There were so many menus while I was scanning through it was hard to see everything lol.

So, it does seem as though they replacing the filets and not just dropping it altogether with no replacement? A sirloin is not my first choice, but are they
at least offering another steak option?

I still think this decision is incredibly stupid, but would like to know if I decide to still eat at some of these places that I can get some sort of steak.

Thanks for the info Brian! I still can't beleive they are doing this.

thanks for the info Brian...and for the mini review of the sushi bar. We may have to stop in there and get a couple rolls before the MNSSHP in September!

Thanks for the info. We will be eating at Narcoosees on September 24th.

Thanks, Brian. Good news that Jiko is keeping the filet. I may grace them with my presence yet.

It seems like an incredibly short-sighted, plain ole stupid move to me. I can understand limiting certain items for free dining, or even the dining plan but to take the filet off the menu for those willing to pay for it just doesn't make sense.

On a good note, I'm glad to hear of the new sushi bar. Where at the Poly is it located? My hubby loves sushi and we will definitely try it on our next trip.

NOOOOO I just whiched yachtsmans for ap the other day :scared1:
we wanted to try something new grrrrrrr
