When we were in WDW in 96 we knew our neighbors and my parents friends were going to be there the same time so we said that we would meet and surprise the dads. :wizard: Well when we were waiting for Mr. Toad's ride we were right behind them in line and didn't know it. THe dad saw me and I acted like I didn't know who he was because I didn't want to ruin the surprise I mean we were only there like 3 hours. I had my Packer jersey on and he said that gave it away, he wanted to cheer them on.

Last year when we went, I knew a lady that I used to work with was going with her family the same time as myself. We were at DS for the day and I said that I wanted to get a times guide to my DH and I literally ran into her.

HOW WEIRD IS THAT!!:yay:

Aww, that's awesome! My moms a teacher and she's ran into a student before while we were at Disney World... It really is a small world =]

I have never seen anybody I know in Disney (other than those that came with), but I have met some interesting people. Especially on DCL.

We almost always see someone we know when we're there. Funny thing is that it is typically the same family. We're friends, but no like real close friends, so it's not like we're planning to travel together. But almost every trip we've gone on, we've seen them there. It's kinda the running joke now. Every time we see them in town, we say, "So, when are we going to Disney again?" They're actually there right now, we're not going again until February, but it's always the trips that we don't tell each other about that we end up running into each other.

Our family and two other families from our church were in the Magic Kingdom on the same day. My daughter was texting the other families throughout the day but we never did run into them.

One of my DD's DBFF and her family will be there while we are so the girls can hang out together. I can't wait!!

That happened all the time when we were on high school spring breaks. We even ran into a schoolmate in my Grandparents retirement community. Being that half the state of Indiana was in Florida that week, I guess it was not that surprising!

On a trip a few years ago, one of my closest guy friends came with us. He and I also used to work together. While there, we saw one of the managers from the company we used to work for.

On my first trip to Disneyworld I saw my middle school principal. On our last trip to WDW, DH spotted someone in a Wake Forest sweatshirt and started talking to him while me and the DD's were in line to get Buzz and Woody's autograph in MGM. Turns out the guy knew someone my DH graduated high school with that also went to Wake.

This is not a Disney sighting, but it does pertain to your original statement.
I grew up in a little town called Millis Massachusetts (about 19,000 people and one stop light in the whole town). Now I live in Mexico City (about 30 million people and about 3000 miles away from Millis). One day, while a friend of mine was visiting we were crossing one of the busy streets in downtown Mexico City, when we saw a street boy crossing the other way, and he was wearing a t-shirt with Millis Massachusetts on it.
Unfortunatelty because of the traffic and the oncoming cars, we weren't able to stop and talk to the boy, but I have always been amazed and in wonder about how a tshirt from my small home town could find it's way over 3000 miles and end up on a homeless street kid, who just happened to be passing by me.
