It pays to know someone Car Rental

We planned to use ME to get to and from the resort. Just started poking around to see how much it would be for a cheap economy car for the week.

I mentioned it to the women that handles travel for my company. She says "Hey Avis just sent me a bunch of coupons" They ^%&% her off so they wanted to make amends.

She has a 7 day FREE rental for me. I belive I still have to pay tax on whatever I rent and I need one extra day but I can't complain.

While you should not have problems booking through your company travel department or any travel agency, you should not use coupon specials you hear from a friend or hear about on the Internet without verifying that you qualify (such as possessing an Entertainment Book or being a member of Sam's Club).

Right in this case I am an employee so it is not a problem but If you use a code that you really don't qualify for and they ask for proof later your stuck with the full price.
