Starbucks Previews Free One-click Wi-Fi

On July 1, Starbucks will turn on one-click, free Wi-Fi through AT&T in all U.S. company operated stores.

Great news! I think they're losing market share, so this will be a good way to get people into their stores.

IMHO think they lost a lot of their cache as the cool coffee spot in town when they stopped having a variety of coffees to try. My local store only brews Pikes Peak, which is fine- but if you love good coffee, you want to try different types. I don't know if this is in all Starbucks or just where we live. I agree that the easy access WiFi will help get people in.

Totally agree about losing it's cache..the only people I see in the local Starbucks are MacBook toting high school/college students trying to pick up girls

FWIW, Caribou Coffee has always had free WiFi, brews a variety of coffee each day, has awesome prices on Mondays and never over-roasts the beans.

Thing is...I'm not a huge starbucks fan. I would much rather go to a locally owned coffee house.

I like Starbucks', but I prefer to go to Panera to sit and work/eat/drink coffee.
