I've been gone a long time from this particular board , and it just occured to me why I keep posting on these 2 particular boards . The 2 I'm talking about are the two discussion boards that I most frequently visit which are the resort and restaurant boards. I have gotten a lot of GREAT ideas and suggestions on where to eat and how to surprise my wife and so many other wonderful things. I guess I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to all who have given their ideas on where to eat and what I can do to have a surprise for my wife. A lot of us take these BOARDS for granted but I can honestly say that they are just WONDERFUL. This is probably not a great post but the bottom line is that I just wanted to say thanks. What a nice post!! I agree with you... I spend a lot of time on those two boards as well, and have gotten so many wonderful ideas. We just got back last night, and the thoughtful people on these boards helped to make it a trip to remember always.

I love this board because it is fun to read of new restaurant experiences while recalling our favorites. I love it because everyone is so friendly and helpful. I also love it because it is usually so peaceful!

I think your post is absolutely wonderful, and I hope that others will add to this thread. It seems especially appropriate for Thanksgiving week!

I love these boards too, and it makes me so happy to read that others enjoy them as much as I do! I never tire of planning the next WDW trip (even when I don't quite know when that will be!) so I most often hang out here on the restaurant board or else the theme parks and resorts boards. I'm a bit partial to the restaurant board because I love reading about everyone's WDW dining experiences. It never ceases to amaze me how many different experiences DISers can have at the same restaurant.

We also have some very gifted writers here - when I read their restaurant reviews, I feel like I was right there at the meal with them!

I love this board but haven't been over to the resort board. I'll try that too. Thanks for the tip! Even if my upcoming trip is months even years away I always enjoy coming here and reading about the various restaurants and menus. I usually jog between here and Deb's menus. I read a review or comment, then I have to go over the actually read the menu. If it werent' for you guys, we would have not tried Jiko on this last trip (I'll post my review soon, I promise--we went to so many places!) and we loved Jiko so much we had to go back! I agree...THANK YOU to everyone!

Let's see, because of this board we are going to many new places that I didn't even know about. Whispering Pines, Boma, Beaches and Cream, I can't wait. DH and I will aslo have one day alone and I think I am going to take him to Le Cellier. So I want to add my heartfelt thank-you.

Thanks to all for the wonderful comments. When I wrote the previous post I absolutely meant each and every word I wrote. Even though we started going to WDW starting in Dec. of 96 once we discovered the World Wide Web, which for us by the way was a pretty late introduction to computers and this particular web site as well as a few others, I noticed that there was a recurring theme as far as what people wanted and hoped for and or expected for their experince for a trip to WDW.. Again I can honestly say that I for 1 have gotten SO much wonderful information and tips from these boards!! Again thanks to all and we hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday season!!! I too love the restaurant board! I find when I go to the DIS, I usually come here first. I love to read reviews and I know they take alot of time and thought to write. Thanks to all who go to the trouble to share their experiences so others can benefit! Happy Thanksgiving!

Nice post, Chip! In the spirit of the season, I'll add my thanks, too. I love the restaurant board! Whether I''m planning a trip for next week or next year (and even if I'm doing low carb, which I am), I always enjoy reading the restaurant reviews. It's like taking a mini trip to WDW almost every day of the year. Thank you, everyone, for letting me "ride along"!

What truly makes these boards wonderful is every single poster. Whether someone gives a review, offers advice, or even asks a question, it adds so much and always helps people in one way or another. I especially like the Restaurant Board too, because, well, I love to eat, LOL! Hearing about all these great, and not so great meals is always fun.
