It maybe a silly question but...I need Excursion Help!

I have a question about excursions...

This May, we will be on a 7-night Western Carribbean cruise.

For Cozumel, has any one ever done "Cozumel Beach Break"? If so is it any good, or worth the money?

For Grand Cayman, has anyone done the "Rum Point Beach Adventure"? Is that one any good? or worth the money?

Since you seem to be worried about the value for the money, You can save some $ and book your own excursions?

You can do many cozumel beachers (for free) and can certainly do Grand Cayman on your own.

Describe what you want in a beach? What is your definition of "nice"?

A crowded beach with dredged sand is not for me, but there are a lot of others who like that in a beach. I get enough sand beaches within two hours of home, and I live 20 miles from the coast. So, I like to see live coral / sealife while in Cozumel / Cayman, so prefer the rocky / uncrowded kind of "nice" beaches. So you see, it depends on your perspective. Fortunately, both GC and Coz have both types of beaches (and some in-between) and we all can all be happy !

We did the 7 night western..we did our own cozumel beach break.

On the recommendation from other cruisers on this board, we went to Mr. Sancho's. You grab a cab right up the dock and away you go. It is excellent. The beach is beatiful, the restaurant food is wonderful. Restrooms and shower area spotless. We can highly recommend this area.

DCL beach excursions are way to expensive. Depending upon the number of people in your party you can do the same thing for about 1/3 the price. And you can go to the SAME beach if you want to. Your fellow DCL cruiser will be tagged and you won't be - but you will be able to do the same things except for going to their lunch and using their transportation.

We used shoretrips.com and were very pleased. They offer several excusions in Cozumel.
