this may be a dumb question. but.. does anyone ever feel like uncomfortable when your at a hotel/resort swimming pool. and your in a bikini? I just bought this really cute bikini from Victoria's Secret, its a string bikini =X. I got it for our Disney trip in May & springbreak. Im fine with wearing it to parties and the river. but when i was trying it on, my mom had said something bout wearing to swim at the resort (Windsor Hills). Ugh i dont know its just something bout wearing it in front of a bunch of people i dont know. thats kinda getting to me.

It is a bit uncomfortable to me also. I usually just wrap a towel around my waist, and then go right into the pool. It isn't a huge deal for me though cause I don't let what other people think get to me. It's about what you think about yourself, and if you like the bikini, just don't worry about it.

I hate swimsuits. I would never wear a bikini because that would be scary, but I just can't wear 1 pieces either. It just makes me uncomfortable even at home in our backyard. I just wear a 1 piece then a t-shirt and maybe shorts under it. I wore a t-shirt and shorts while at Typhoon Lagoon and was fine. If you feel uncomfortable maybe you could wear a t-shirt or something over it?

ALL of my friends look amazing in bathing suits (even the people i cant stand look aight) but..me..its like "Ugh..no one wants to see this"

thats why its REALLY creepy going swimming with people from my school
when you are at camp its alright beccaue you are going to be leaving them and forgetting
but
with people you see everyday its creepy.



I love swimming though.

I wish i could do swim team but Im way to afraid to wear thingy mahbobbers on that horrid time of month.

ahh sorry if this may seem reall selfish =X but im fine with my appearence. im not saying im beautiful or anything like that i meant body wise. but its just the thought of being "half naked" infront of strangers.

It's not selfish. I feel I have a very attractive body, and I've been told by many people that I do. I just don't like exposing myself to everyone, so I wear a really cute 1 piece because I feel more modest, but still fashionable.

Something you could think of is a little dress that you could wear over the bikini. Once you get into the water it doesn't matter. It's also not as bad when you're lying down and tanning y'know? Cause you're not walking around and exposing your body to everyone who has eyes.

dont think its just you that feels that way. my friend is very skinny and she is drop dead gorgeous. but hates her looks, no clue why? but it goes to show you that not everyone is okay with their appearence, some are just better at hiding it.

I agree.
I wish everyone could be comfortable with their body.
I try to be.
I mean, sure I wish I skinnier and a bit taller, but I try to accept myself as best as possible.

Well, if society wasn't so persistent as to what a good lookin' body was, people would feel much more comfortable in their own skin.

I know I'm not perfect. Sir Mix a Lot sang a song about me (almost the SAME measurements, which is kinda creepy. His is 36C-24-36 and 5'3", and I'm a 34D(which, technically, is the same cup size as a 36C, but the width is smaller)-23-36 and 5'4"). Even though I may not be perfect, I feel attractive. One way to feel more attractive is to be confident, which is very attractive to people, therefore making you FEEL more attractive (if that makes sense lol).

Generalizations never work, peepz. I know PLENTY of boys who have a problem with not wearing shirts with their bathing suit, so they DO.

I also know PLENTY of girls who aren't really concerned with their looks, nor are they overly proud of them.
