I cant understand why britney spears does not want her sweet boys....what the **** is wrong with her!I keep cnn on during the day and they were saying how she could not be in court because she is waiting for furniture to be delivered from macys! WHAT? she has people for that....what is the world is more importent than making sure you dont loose your kids forever....I feel so bad for those babies it breaks my heart....and while every one says its the baby daddys fault cause he wants her money...well he IS the only one taking care of the kids and showing up for court....if anyone else just did not show up for that many court hearings they would be in jail...

I don't think its that she doesn't want them, or love them. She is just so messed up.

People w/ mental illness can't think rationally when not being treated. If she gets the help, and treatment she so needs, I think/hope she looks back at these days, and be mortified. Hopefully she can rebuild a relationship w/ them once she gets help. Hopefully she won't kill herself before she gets help.

Main thing--protect the boys. I hope K-Fed is geniune--he is at least stepping up to the responsibility. Yes its easier w/ money, and security, and all the other help he gets but still.

So no one w/ mental issues deserves kids, or just ones who has their meltdowns plastered all over the newpapers, and TV.

I know a family of 6 girls. All of them got pregnant and all of them gave up custody to the paternal grandparents. There are also a couple of other girls I knew who did this. The one thing that they all had in common was a very sad home life. Their parents were not there for them and I believe with all my heart that the girls didn't feel that they had the skills to be parents. Britney's parents made money off of her.Maybe this is how Britney feels.

We don't know anything but what the media tells us. I'm hoping that if anyone on the DIS was faced with a problem like this with one of their children, they would show more mercy than has been shown to this poor woman. She shouldn't be judged because she's sick.

I think anyone who thinks furniture is more importent than their kids needs a BIG wake up call....and since will not see a doc no one knows if she is sick or just selfish and spoiled....I know it is not the norm but some women do not want or love their kids...it is awful....it is not always an illness but the court needs to know either way in order to protect those babies!If she hurt them after the court said ok do what you want people would be screaming for the judges head....

I used to laugh and scoff at Britney. Now I really wish someone would reach out to her. It isn't one bit funny anymore- it has gone way beyond antics. She needs someone to show her that she has value beyond her money.

I think this is a situation where she realized after having her second kid that that she really didn't want to get married and have kids. A little late, I know, but I think that's what's going on. I could be wrong, but I think that she's just trying to get back her youth to a degree and in the process she's completely screwed things up. Just my opinion.

I totally agree. I feel really bad for her. She NEEDS help NOW and it just seems like to me that no one in her family or friends is helping her. So sad all around.

This is what I think too.

I believe that someday she'll be in their lives. But for right now - she needs time away from them. I'm sure their Dad and some good nannies will be good for those little boys. They need structure and some normalcy.

sounds like meth, but she keeps coming up clean on the drug screens. Some people just aren't capable of being parents, but are unable to voice it. By her continually not showing up/cooperating with the courts is her way of saying she isn't able to be a parent at this time. It's a very hard thing to admit under the best of circumstances I can't imagine having to admit such a failing in the headlines.
One thing I hate about this whole thing is the obvious sexism. There are many male celebrities who haven't been there for their kids beyond sending a check and there is no mention of it, but having it happen to a mom and it's plastered all over the front pages.

This is a sad, strange, fasinating case. She clearly is not with the program and is in need of help. Unfortunately she's not getting it. At this point it's clear she will not gain custody anytime in the near future unless she cleans up her act.
