It almost time for her arrival!!!

Well, as you can see it is about time for the arrival of my first grandchild. My DD was at the dr's office yesterday and was told she could deliver from now to Thanksgiving. Want to lay odds which day it will happen? Well we decided to put Thanksgiving dinner on the back burner, I promised once they were back home I would cook a big turkey dinner. We just visualized her going into labor while everthing was cooking. So for the first time ever I will be having our holiday meal at a restaraunt. Never thought that would happen.

But the good news is she is almost here I promise to keep everyone posted.

Aw, how exciting. My youngest DD was born the day after Thanksgiving, Nov 26th that year. I remember I was sort fo miserable because I was having contractions on and off all day that Thanksgiving and did not want to eat, because she was breech and I was likely to end up with a c-section (ends up she turned and I delivered naturally). But smelling all of that good food and not having any was painful, LOL.

Wishing your DD a quick, comfortable and uncomplicated labor and delivery...I'll bet you just can't wait to get your hands on that little one!!!!

Congrats "Grandma" Hope all goes well with the delivery. DS was the day before Thanksgiving, and this year turns 12 on Turkey Day! Hope she doesn't have to spend the actual Thanksgiving day in the hospital, I remember the turkey loaf they served when I was there. Keep us posted!

alot of turkey babies around here.....our son was born on Thanksgiving day when it was the 27th.......I did end up eating a pumpkin pie in the hospital and that was all I wanted......I am a gramma too.......not a grandma ....but a gramma.....l

How much she is dialiating and she also lost the plug two days ago. SHe is actually lasting longer than I did when I lost mine I went into labor the next day for both of mine.

Good idea on putting Thanksgiving on the back burner. I was born on Thanksgiving, falls on Thanksgiving this year too, 24th, and every year I get to hear the story of how my mom missed Thanksgiving Dinner and had hospital Lasagna instead!

Well, we thought it was going to happen last night. Got a call saying she was having hard contractions and was afraid to drive home. We picked her up and played the waiting game. Well they slowed down and stopped. So here we still are.
