It’s time for the southwest reservation race again?

Hi all, the window for our time to reserve a round trip with southwest begins again for us tomorrow. The website says tomorrow, the 25th, but never announces the time, so I cancel Dr appointments and juggle car schedules hoping I can catch the earliest time.

Nerve wracking.

Any suggestions?

TIA

This makes no sense to me to cancel activities to book a flight, especially SW with its open seating policy. I don’t think they have transitioned to picking seats out quite yet. Do flights fill up that quickly to Orlando?
If it’s a Spring break flight, they go up in price RAPIDLY in my market so one hopes to purchase before they get sky high. Not sure about other markets.

Thanks for the explanation, I live in FL so this never occurred to me to be an issue but saving money is always good.

Reservations usually open between 7-8 am. Good luck!!

They opened at 7. Done. Needed a small mortgage but …

Thanks for the heads up and thanks for everyone’s comments.
Prices are crazy high for Southwest, I agree. I booked ours also but wasn't happy about it. Hoping for a price adjustment before we go. I will be checking regularly!

We fly SWA 90% of the time.

Stopped buying the schedule release day, especially for holiday periods.

It’s of the challenge the market strategy for them, hoping people won’t monitor the significant price drops that invariably happen.

Never thought of that. Makes sense,

When/where you are going makes a difference. On flights to popular vacation destinations, the lowest price tickets tend to sell out first and then the fare jumps to the next higher level. If an airline can sell all of the seats during peak travel times, there is clearly no reason to offer discounts. If you are talking about MCO, likely that is a popular destination the entire year. Even then some timeframes will be busier than others (such as Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year's/etc.)

Monday I got an email for a sale up to 40% off. We we’re out of town so I had to wait till the next day to book just hoping I could still get in on the sale
So I jumped right on it everything stayed the same.
Fare started out at 244$PP one way
Sale was 141$ leaving and down to 119 comi g home.
I had a bunch of credits and GC and wanted to use everything before there were any changes. So I had to do 4 bookings
So since I always keep checking our flight going down is now 119.
Now I have to change alteady
I remember it was pretty easy but I don’t remember what I did
So could someone please let me know what I need to
Do to get the credit thanks
