It’s A Small World closure

I believe It’s a Small World will close for setting up for the Holiday theme. Any idea when it will close?

We are planning to be there for 5 days from Oct 29 to Nov 2. From what I can see, we will need to do some attractions (like Guardians of the Galaxy) in the first few days and maybe It’s a Small World also.

Last year, we attended the Halloween Party on 10/26, and IASW had already closed for the overlay installation.

Looking at past dates, it looks like it will still be closed during your trip- sorry if that’s the case Take heart- pirates was closed during our last DLR trip and we were so bummed because it’s so great at DL. While we missed it, the trip was still great and we are looking forward to seeing it back up this time around.

Can’t be helped. Last time, we were at DL for the week after thanksgiving and it was fabulous, the crowds were low and the Holiday theme was up. We were planning for the same time but ended up having to come earlier.

As others have said, IaSW has typically closed in mid-to-late October to have the overlay installed in time for the start of the Holiday Season. Last year, it closed on October 22 in 2018 and October 23 in 2017.

We are at the parks that week every year (a day or so before Halloween and a few days into November, give or take a day each time) and IASW is always closed the week before until the beginning of the holiday season. Space will also be closed Nov 1 if they're doing an overlay. Everything else has generally been open for us barring some big mechanical thing.

Does it typically open right at the start of the holiday season, or later? We will be there until Nov. 9, and I'm wondering if it's likely to open on Nov. 8 since that looks like the "official" start of the holiday season.

Historically, IaSW has re-opened with the seasonal overlay on the first day of the Holiday Season. So, barring some unanticipated delay, it should re-open on November 8th this year.

They are not doing the overlay on space this year.
