I AM SO EXCITED!!! WE ARE GOING TO BOOK DEC. 13 THRU 20 7 DAY MAGIC. I HAVE A LOAD OF QUETIONS BEFORE I MAKE OUR RESSIES. 1/ HOW IS THE WEATHER DURING DEC. FOR THE EASRTEN CARRIBBEAN? I WOULD THINK THE SAME YEAR-ROUND, BUT JUST MAKING SURE. 2/ SHOULD WE BOOK 2 ROOMS? WE HAVE MYSELF, MY HUBBIE, 12 DD, 3DD,AND A BABY DUE IN AUGUST. WE ARE THINKING ABOUT 2 INSIDE STATEROOMS WITH ROOM TO ROOM ACCESS. 3/ WILL THERE BE BABYSITTING FOR THE INFANT? I KNOW THAT THE 2 GIRLS CAN GO TO THE OCEANEERS CLUB. FROM WHAT I HEAR FROM READING THIS BOARD, WE WONT SEE THEM VERY MUCH. I WOULD LIKE TO GO TO ONE OF THE CLUBS WITH THE HUBBIE AND DANCE AND HAVE SOME MOMMIE AND DADDY TIME- KID FREE IF WE COULD ONE NIGHT. IF THERE IS SITTING FOR THE INFANT, HAS ANY ONE USED THIS SERVICE? ANY COMMENTS?4/ HOW IS THE FOOD? I HAVE CRUISED IN THE PAST ON OTHER CRUISELINES ANDTHE DINING WAS EITHER OUT OF THIS WORLD OR THE PITS!!5/ HOW ARE THE DRINK PRICES?6/ IS THIS GOING TO BE THE BEST FAMILY VACATION EVER??? IM STARTING TO THINK SO! THE "MAGIC" LOOKS PERFECT! THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS!!:smooth:

Hi Maria! I'll try to help with your questions. :)

1) I've sailed in December the past three years (and will again this year) and the weather in the Caribbean has been great, plenty warm enough. You can get cool or rainy days in Castaway Cay (Disney's private island) but for the most part the weather is excellent.

2) You should compare pricing for two rooms versus one Category 4 Family Stateroom and decide whether having the verandah (and everyone together in the room) is important to you or not.

3) Yes, there is definitely babysitting for the new baby in Flounder's Reef. You will need to make reservations for the times that you want. The service gets excellent reviews. Currently the price is $6 per hour.

4) I've been very satisfied with the food on DCL. You will get a variety of opinions on that. :) Definitely do get reservations for Palo, the adults-only restaurant, for a nice parent's night out onboard. That is the best food on the ship, in my opinion.

5) Drink prices are average for a cruise ship, I drink wine or champagne mostly so the pricing is higher than mixed drinks. Most drinks are in the $5 - $10 range, beer is less expensive.

You definitely ARE going to have the best vacation ever. Enjoy! :)

Our last cruise was with Disney on the Magic. We had cruised 6 times on other lines with our DD's(ages 7&6). I didn't know if the food would be as good as say Royal Carribean line but we were soooo pleasantly surprised. The restaurants were all wonderful. An you can't beat the fabulous clubs and activities for the kids. That alone has made our cruise with DCL the best family vacation ever. You will not be dissappointed.
