Hubby and I are going west and we have 1 night at PP prior to our cruise. After the cruise we have a 3 day package. We land around 11am at LAX. We would like to see possibly a parade and fireworks but would also like to spend some time by the pool and maybe go to DTD. The Rainforest Cafe for diner. We will be comming in on a Thursday am. Or should I skip that idea and go to DL and spend the time there and go to the pool later that night?

I would personally check in and spend a few hours by the pool till about 2pm, then get ready, eat a good dinner maybe at DTD, and then head into DL for some nighttime shows and entertainment!

I agree with Matterhorn. :thumbsup2

Unfortunately for us, by the time we get to DLH it will be around 3:30, so we are going to eat at Goofy's Kitchen @ 5:00 and then swim so we'll be ready to hit the parks early the next day. If I were getting in earlier, I'd go to the pool for an unwind and then hit those parks!!!

Depends on you, I just have to go to the parks when we arrive, no fun at the pool when I am dreaming of the parks.......do what feels right for you.

Yeah I have to agree with hitting the parks right away. Theres so much to see and do that I wouldnt want to waste my time sitting around a pool. I can do that when I go back to my room at night. Everyone is different casue some have kids who need naps etc. But for me I wouldnt waste any precious park time.

I like going to Mainstreet, seeing which characters are there or watching the street entertainers and walking around shopping for some mickey ears or some candies to munch on while wandering the park. I like to keep the first day simple, so I usually head to Tom Sawyers island or to Adventureland or NOS and go on Indie or Pirates. Just something to get your vacation into swing. I like going to DCA in the evening for dinner around park closing when your famished and really are looking for something to eat. The Rainforest really is a really cool restaraunt to end your Disney day in. Then I would think its time for a dip in the pool before bed.

Well it all depends on how you are feeling, that's my belief. No sense rushing to the park and trying to cram in some fun and magic, take time to make sure you're relaxed and have had a rest. If it just you and hubby, spending some time at the pool first is a good idea, then to DTD for some shopping and dinner, I myself like The House of Blues, for a nice dinner and then to the park for a romantic evening of DL magic and the feeling of being young again. When the park closes either back to DTD or to your hotel and let the magic continue. Either way you decide, and I'm sure you both will have fun, after all, you're in Disneyland.:smickey: :tink: ::MickeyMo

I'm going to the parks my first day.

I've never done it before, usually we use that day as a chill day, from driving the whole way since its a good many hours.

But seeing as the trip is on a plane, no sense in wasting valuable DL time.
