This is clearly a Disney IT issue, we've been unable to solve it since we've been members/owners starting in 2012.
me: ABC@Gmail.com for MyDisneyExperience
Husband: XYZ@Gmail.com for MyDisneyExperience
1). DVC bought and set up in 2012. Using my email log in ABC@Gmail.com Set up was easy. We make a reservation almost immediately and it's set up in my name and the reservation email goes to ABC@Gmail.com
2). Husband calls to get a DVC log in set up as well. He wanted to be able to buy discounted APs, etc. Sounds reasonable enough. He uses XYZ@Gmail.com to match his Disney account. The person on the phone understands and voila, XYZ@Gmail.com now logs into dvcmember.com
3). As soon as #2 occurs, my ABC@gmail.com no longer works. Honestly, we just deal with it for years. If I need to make a reservation I just log into "his" account at dvcmember.com All reservations are now in his name. Hilariously, when we make DVC reservations, the emails STILL go to ABC@Gmail.com somehow!
4). Our separate accounts work just dine at Disneyworld.com for MDE. We can add each other to dining reservations, etc.Even with the shoddy rollout in 2013 of magic bands and MDE, the accounts on disneyworld always worked fine for tickets, etc.
5). I cannot get DVC discounts online for APs or shopping as I cannot link DVC and MDE. I do not get the colorful lights upon entry. He does.
I ended up having to call 4 times to get our addressed changed, so I do understand it's Disney's IT and not the generally awesome cast members. I'm worried if I set up ABC@Gmail.com on DVCs website, it will then boot his log in out (like in #2), though maybe things have changed in the past 5 years. Does anyone have DVC (with 2+ on the deed) and all of the owners get all of the perks or have separate log ins?
