Hello! Has anyone else been able to get a cast member online to sign up for DAS? I’ve tried the last 3 days and been on virtual hold for 3-4 hours at a time and no one ever shows up. I feel like I am doing something wrong. Anyone have any advice? Thanks so much!

I have a family member with the same issue yesterday and today.

It took me numerous tries With my tablet. Finally on Friday I got on at 730 am. Left it alone on one monitor of the computer while I worked on another monitor of the same computer and got thru at 1030am completely shocked. I took care of everything within 10 minutes. i Had pretty much given up and decided to just handle it at the gate. Keep trying, the earlier the better from what I am hearing.

I waited 3.5 hours last week. I think some people are experiencing issues due to the browser they're using or if they're trying to do it in incognito mode. But who knows? The wait times seem to vary wildly. I got on right at 7am the day I did it and was done by 10:30 am.

Its not you its their system .
Its slow and they don't have enough CMs.
I spent 3 days until I finally got through.
I'm happy that I did it so I don't have to go to guest services plus I did the advanced selections.

I’m lost. Sorry but I can’t figure out DAS? Please help.
Thanks
Dee

Hi! I was able to get through. My advice--watch the screen saver. Turn it off if you can. I had 2 computers set up fortunately. My screen saver blacked out the screen on both. The one was OK as soon as I moved the mouse. That is the one that got through. I called up IT in the middle of the wait (2 hours on hold). They said as long as I still see the pink fairy Godmother (Flora ??) all is still OK but this is not true. There is a small banner at the top stating something like "registering for DAS". I noticed one computer had that, the other didn't. The one that showed the pink fairy but not the banner had requested the pass code again. When that happens you are in queue so you see the fairy but back at the beginning of the queue. Every 5 minutes or so that was happening so I would never have been able to talk to a CM. Like I said, fortunately I had 2 computers running.
FYI The cast member was great. The session could not have been better.

I apologize for not being more clear….I meant what does DAS stand for? Lol! Again sorry for the misunderstanding and thanks.

DAS = Disability Access Service
Using DAS allows guests with disabilities who are unable to wait in the regular lines to wait outside of the lines. DAS has existed since 2013. Guests using DAS are given a DAS Return Time to come back to the attraction after waiting approximately the amount of time they would have waited in the Standby line.
The recent changes are being able to register for DAS by video chat in addition to in the theme parks (the previous only way to register) and bring able to use the My Disney Experience app to schedule DAS Return Times (in addition to doing it at the attraction or Guest Services).

The first post of this thread summarizes everything and has multiple links to the WDW website information. That first post is updated pretty regularly to add or clarify information.

I've been many reports of it taking 10-12 hours, so I'd say just keep waiting.

I’ve heard of people waiting ten plus hours. It’s not a glitch, they just really take that long. It’s so much easier in person IMO. We went to the international gateway at Epcot yesterday and waited 5 min to reactivate my son’s DAS.

If it wasn't for the fact that if we don't do online we'll lose two "FP+", I'd just do this. We've never waited more than 10 minutes - and that's during busier seasons. But there is NO way we can do Disney without having at least a couple FP+ per day and we can't afford GP+. So... it sucks.

I jumped on at 7 this morning and had my pre-clear about 930, waited until 1145 to do my video chat and he put me though for booking which only required a 10 minute wait, I was done by 1240. I work full time do I say my tablet net to my work computer for the wait.

So far this is my experience. Jumped on the registration link at 7:00, entered chat at 7:01. Got the pre-registration done at 8:30. Now waiting for video chat, it is 9:56.

What are the dates to do DAS? I’m not planning on going until January, but I want to activate my AP before then, so I was thinking of going over between now and then for a day or two. And then, it expires in 30 days, so I’d have to go renew it again before the late January trip? I’m so confused as to the process now, as I think my trips have been more than 30 days apart in the past at times and I don’t remember having to renew again.

Ok so today I spent just under 5 hours in total on the chat to get my son the DAS pass. Logged on as soon as the chat option was available at 7 am. One thing I noticed, if staying on site they will book your advanced selections for the length of stay and not just 30 days or less. They also do allow overlapping of times as we have one booked for 11 am and another for 1145.
