ISO - hidden file info

A while back someone posted how to get rid of hidden files, etc. My girlfriend is having a problem with her computer and I'm thinking she may have some hidden files. Does anybody remember how to do this? Also, wasn't there a free software download that searched for hidden files? Can't remember what that was either.

For hidden files, (this works if you are using internet explorer)

right click the start button
click explore
click the little + by the windows folder
right click the Temporary internet files
click properties (this will show you how many files are in there)
right click it again if you have a bunch and want to delete them
click find


Once you click find, if you type in *. then it will bring ALL of the files up. Some people are able to delete them all at once, but I have to delete a few at a time or my computer freezes up.
