I was just thinking about this..

So today, I went to the bagel store. After me and my mom ate we went to the car. My mom made me hold her snapple, and it spilled all over me. So, I had to go home and change before I went over my grandma's. So I run inside while my mom waits in the car, and I see my dog isn't there. I get scared and tell my mom. She went to find him and found him down the street.

So I was thinking: If I didn't spill the snapple on my pants, I wouldn't have gone home and I wouldn't have seen my dog wasn't home. My dog could have been miles away once I got home from my grandma's (I was at my grandma's for 3 hours).

Isn't it weird how things usually happen for a reson?

Post any stories or other things you have about this.

I'm a believer in "everything happens for a reason". It can be stuff so small as accidently tasting a different flavor of Snapple that's become your favorite. However, it can also be things like losing a loved one and being inspired to be a doctor.

Personally, I had one of those big ones. If I hadn't gotten sick, I would've never contemplated nursing as a career. If I hadn't gotten sick, I honestly don't think I would've donated blood.

I remember years and years ago we were driving to Florida. We were right outside of Richmond, VA and an insane snowstorm was going on. It was early in the morning too, maybe 2 am. 2 cars ahead, a car started to spin on the highway going 70 mph. The car infront of us got caught in it and crashed into the other car. My dad was quick thinking and swerved to the left and barely missed the guardrail. If we had been one car ahead we'd probably be dead.

I definitley believe in things like that.

One that I always remember is:
It was a few months after my grandfather died, and my mom and I were driving down this really busy street. You know those vans where you can't see in the windshield? Well, we passed one of those, and I swear, I saw my grandpa's face in the passenger window. I yelled, "It's Poppie!" And My mom slammed on the brakes.
Not one second later, a consturction worker backed into the middle of the road. If we hadn't hit the brakes, we would have hit him.

Now that's what you call a Guardian Angel. I believe in them too.

I often think of where I'd be if I didn't go to the school that I go to.
Goodness I'd be so different.

I'm with Sonya, I agree that everything happens for a reason. It's like our destiny. I might not be religious, but I do believe that we're here for a certain reason.

I do that too. I wonder what would've happened if I hadn't gotten sick. Getting sick changed me so much, but in some ways I'm still the old Sonya.

Jenny, I'm not very religious but I think that too when someone dies young. Yeah, I hate it when anyone dies prematurely, but I do think God brought them back home for a reason.
Then again, I'm also one of those people who thinks that everyone impacts the world - even if it's a tiny, tiny dent.

Yeah, I believe things happen for a reason too. I do have a story, but its not about my life so im not sure if im allowed to share it :confused3
I only get small changes, like I almost forget something important before leaving my house or something.

I agree with Sonya that it is really sad when people die before they reach old age.

This happened to one of my cousins last year. He got in a motorcycle crash and died on impact. I remember my mom telling us that he was no longer with us and thinking..."Why Kasey? He was so young (21 when he died). God why did you take him?". Kasey didnt just die to die. God took him for a reason. And I've seen that in the last year and 2 months. his life made an impact on those around him. A big one. He always had a positive look on life and he has taught methat u def need to live ur life to the fullest, like every day is your last. Make the most of your life and let the ones around you know you love them. I would defianitly be a different person than I am today if he hadnt have died. I am NOT saying that I wanted him to die! Oh Lord no! Im just saying that EVERYTHING happens for a reason.:)

R.I.P Kasey

Yeah, I often think that.

Like one time, I was about to get in a lift (elevator) and then I realised I left something in the shop I'd just been in. When I go to get the lift again, it's stuck and the people inside had to wait forever to get out.

It's weird lol.. and other people's stories on this thread remind me of the line in Breakeven "They say bad things happen for a reason, but no wise words gonna stop the bleeding." Sorry, trust me to get a line from a song by The Script in there lol

Yup..I think about it a lot, and I'm a big believer in that saying.

I now believe that if I wasnt in a car accident caused by drunk driving, I probably would have drank. If my mom didnt go to jail, I probably wouldnt be half as strong as I am mentally and I probably would have continued to take her for granted. Everything has a reason, kind of like it's our fate or something.

This is kind of unrelated, but I read Five People Who Meet In Heaven a few weeks ago, not all of oit, but a good bit of it.
Anyways, there's a part where it brings up that we've probably killed a lot of people just based on our simple actions. Like because we weren't there, or we were late, someone else was killed instead of us.
So it made me wonder, how many people have I killed simply due to my daily actions and stuff I've been early or late for, etc.

Oh goodness I read that book...2 years ago I think. That part was so...life altering. Really made me think.

so i had auditioned for the show "Urinetown" at a local theater and the director and coreographer said they really liked me and i got a callback. But later that night after reading for the lead multiple times she called my house and told me i was being offered a role in the ensemble it was my first rejection. Later that month i was looking for auditionss and on my facebook i had posted my status as "i need an audition song for the wedding singer" and the director from when i was in the first HSM as gabriella messaged me and tried to help but then he mentioned that he was directing HSM2 at another theater and I went and auditioned with my troy from the first HSM and the guy who played chad in our first HSM. WE ALL GOT THE SAME ROLES!!!! and our opening weekend was Urinetown's only weekend, and we still had a run of 21 shows! So i won out in the end and everything happens for a reason! I thank god for all the friends i made during this production and we're all a huge family now.

i think that the people in our lives are there for a reason, also. there have been some times when i wondered why certain people were in my life, but then i realised that maybe i'm the one who is in their life for a reason. i dont know if that makes sense...

omg. that happens to me all time and i'm kinda glad i realized it because now i don't get super upset/mad when something, like spilling snapple. So alot of things that happen to me got me to good things. Well thursday my Zune, for those of you that dont know what a zune is its an MP3 player, well anyway my 80GB Zune got stolen. I've had this thing for 2 years now. I've lost it. Left it in stores, hockey rinks, other schools, my school, friends houses, my house, my softball bag, hotels and somehow i've always got it back. And I was always so thankful. Some people are just like its a Zune get a new one. Well this Zune and me have been through alot(lol jk). They cost a lot, like $300. I don't have $300 i'm saving to go to DISNEY. So I can't figure out what the reasoning for the person stealing my Zune was. The worst part is I got sick on friday night, and now i'm still out of school sick and my principal was supposed to help me to get my zune back, well he can't help if i'm not there!!!! :( life isnt my friend today.

Everything in my life has totally happened for a reason:) But Ill post my most receant story:)

My uncle works for this huge company and he holds a pretty high position but a few years ago he applied for a promotion. He ended up not getting the promotion and he was pretty upset. But, a few weeks ago his company announced they were cutting a lot of jobs. Luckily he ended up keeping his job but the person who got the promotion he wanted ended up getting cut. So in the end there was a reason he never got the promotion:)

Thank God you found your dog

I saw a story on the news about a shelter who found a dog and euthanized it before looking for the owner
