As we sit here reflecting on our own peaceful memories of Mr. Rogers and the normalcy he brought to our and our childrens lives the reality is that life isn't near as innocent and serene as we'd like it to be. As we are possibly getting ready to go to war --- I just want to escape to the safety of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood!

Does anyone else care to join me?

For just a small moment let us try to put the unsettling feelings we have with the world behind us and remember one of our first times that we opened our homes to Mr. Rogers!


I remember my brother who is 4 years younger than me watching Mr. Rogers. I also watched it SO MANY times with my kids. I can't imagine how many times I've watched Mr. Rogers change his shoes and sweater!

I can't even begin to describe the fondness I had for this man and how much he played a part in the lives of my children when they were small. I sang so many of Mr. Rogers songs at bedtime to my kids, all locked in our memory.

There are many ways to say 'I love you'
There are many ways to say 'I care about you'
Many ways, many ways, many ways to say 'I love you'.

A wonderful man who had a wonderful message, and his passing is a sad loss for all of us. . .

I like the way that he didn't wear the same shoes inside that he wore outside.

I liked his mellow personality. He seemd to never be upset or bothered by anything or anyone.

I'll bet he was the same way during his final hours.

RIP to a VIP in heaven.
