how much love we can have for a pet? As I'm lurking, my cat crawled and sat on my lap, and my two dogs are asleep on the couch.

I can't even imagine my life without them.

They all really have personalities!

I just am amazed sometimes at how much I love them, and how they are such a big part of my life.

Imagine how I'd be if I ever have a child!

Yes, I agree, pets are very lovable creatures. I have a sweet dog named Scruffy. He's a terrier/daschund mix with a cute personality.

I totally agree! I have 3 kitties and love them all so much!!! They bring me so much joy! The princess of the group, Angel sleeps with me every nite, with her head on my pillow and covered up to her chin just like a little person!! Sometimes they are better than the kids, no arguments with my kitties!!!

Yes! Allie was our "first born". She will be 11 on December 18th, which is quite old for a giant breed dog. We had quite a scare the week of Thanksgiving and thought we were going to lose her. Luckily, she has bounced back and is about 80%.

Dogs (and all pets) truly give you unconditional love!

Yes, I so agree with you. I have a 6 year old Black Lab named Sabrina.
It is like having another Child. She is sitting hear on my feet as I am
typing. Each night I have a cup of tea before bed. She comes and sits with her head in my lap waiting for me to finish. She love tea and knows now that
I will always give her the last little bit. Spoiled, NO Loved!!!

I have always been a big-time dog lover, but we've had DD21's orange tabby here since Thanksgiving and we've gotten really attached to her.

I'm highly allergic to cats, but for some reason I'm not allergic to her.

She makes us laugh all the time!

The only thing I don't like about her, is her claws! The other night she scaled my dust ruffle and got under the covers with me. Then I decided to move. Not a good thing.

I can see why cat people, are cat people! They are cool to have around!

my 3 babies are shown below i can't imagine them not being here. when one of them gets sick my dad comes to the vet with me bc he knows i'll pass out and die if something really bad is wrong. all 3 have such distinct personalities, different meows, and expressions. they are like 3 other people in the house with me. cats rock!!

This little guy is all nestled around my neck as I type this. He is just three weeks new to us and I can't imagine life without him. Funny how quickly we get attached.

I have been in the hospital and I swear the dog missed me more than my family. He was so excited when I came home. I swear he hasn't left my side and he just sits and smiles at me!

Lytchee brought me more than any human being I know (I know it's sad but it's true), and now she's gone 4 months ago. Each time I hear the song "it's gonna be a cold Christmas without you" I think about her.
I miss her so much, I hope she is in Heaven now.

Crokette, I've followed your postings ever since you lost your Lytchee. I can see myself being just like you, when the time comes for Chloe. It's going to devastate me.

Are you going to eventually consider getting another pet?
