Another perspective on pool sizes. Per the scale on Disney's plans, the new Tower pool measures 80' x 80' at the points marked in blue. The Lava pool measures 140' x 55' with the red arrows. The Oasis pool (not pictured) is about 110' x 55'. I'll let someone else do the math to try and calculate the volume of such irregular shapes.

Other Disney pools:

Rivera Beau Soleil: 75' x 35'
BLT Bay Cove pool 85' x 60'
GF Beach pool: 115' x 55'
WL Boulder Ridge Cove pool: 115' x 60'
Kidani Samawati Springs: 110' x 70'

The new pool scales to be 3340sf on the dewatering plan drawings. If you let me know where you got the drawing showing the Lava pool, I can figure how big that one is for comparison.

That’s like 2/3rds the size of a basketball court, for comparison.

Or a quarter of an Olympic swimming pool (which are huge if you’ve never seen one).

I just realized that most US high schools have swimming pools that are a quarter of the size of Olympic swimming pools.

I am probably sure that those 7 boxes around the pool going to be cabanas to be rented?

Can't definitively rule out paid cabanas. But it would be more consistent with recent Disney pool projects if the squares were concrete pads for furniture groupings. Similar to photos below at Boulder Ridge and Riviera. Maybe some overhead structure like the Boulder Ridge pic. I don't believe there's a fee for using any of these spaces.

With everyone analyzing the recent artist rendering of the tower pool, I haven't read one person who noticed you can see the castle from the pool area.

If they continue having MVMCP on Tuesday night's in December, opening night for the Poly tower will have some pretty nice views.

I'm probably being too optimistic and giving them the benefit of the doubt, but that rendering just doesn't look right to me. It almost looks like whoever put it together just plopped something down where the pool goes, assuming no one was using that view. And then someone else with access to the rendering decided to use it.

Again, I'm probably being way too optimistic, but the whole rending just looks off to me.

Doesn't the POS have to be updated/approved before any declaration happens?

For whatever reason, the tower weeks being added to PVB didn't mention a POS update??? Did Disney update the POS? Did the person reviewing the license update forget to mention the POS update? Or are we waiting for Disney to file a POS update?

In the case of BPK addition to VGF, the note was "Comment: Added 10,302 timeshare weeks; amended public offering statement, purchase agreement, submitted 2022 budget, summary of documents not provided, and amended declarations."

For Island Tower addition to PVB, it only shows "Comment: Adding 11,322 timeshare weeks."

The POS will be updated but I am not sure it has to be done before they simply file the condo documents to declare some of the units. With CFW, they were all done at the same time..now, that was a new POS, and they only need to update PVB.

The fact that neither the license says anything new and the condo documents are not done, just means I doubt we will see sales begin anytime soon,

There was an update to the multi-site POS at the same time, but I don't think they've actually published an updated version, and it's not clear what that update included.

You can access the current published POS documents and inserts within the portal, but neither the PVB nor Multi-Site documents have been updated since May 28th.

The URLs suggest that they were uploaded in February 2024, but dated to January 2024, so I imagine some lag is normal.

If you know how to look at the source code for a web page, the number of available rooms is buried in there on the booking page with all the calendars.

Oooooo…. Interesting. I’m a web developer, so finding that should be easy, and I should be able to write a script to read those and put those on the page.

I decided to look at a couple dates to see what the cash booking availability is showing.

December 17 (opening night):

• All duo studios (all views) are booked
• All penthouse 2BR are booked
• All bungalows are booked
• Everything else is available at PVB

December 31 (New Years Eve so WDW is packed):

• All duo studios (all views) are booked
• All tower deluxe studio standard view are booked
• All 1BR (all views) are booked
• All 2BR theme park view are booked
• All penthouse 2BR are booked
• All longhouse studios are booked
• All bungalows are booked

Bungalows and longhouses may be booked from DVC points, so that may explain no cash booking availability.

I wish Disney would release some details on the number of rooms in each category.

Replying to your post from a few days ago, but I wanted to make a small caveat for those who maybe don't spend much time on the cash side of things (in the same way from the other way around I know almost nothing about DVC points booking), but Disney's hotel availability algorithms are generally heavily weighted to longer stays, and it especially doesn't like one night stays.

I agree with your results when searching one night, but if you tinker with date ranges enough you can find cash availability for many of the categories. Using all the Duo categories just for example, 12/31-1/1 no availability as you note, but 12/31-1/3 all three are available. Similar results can be seen for some of the other categories as well.

So since the search results are being influenced by Disney's algorithm preferences at that moment in time, it can make it hard to peg true occupancy/demand when it comes to single dates without doing several expanded date range searches around a point in time.

I definitely forgot all about how availability changes based on length of stay on the cash side. DVC booking is so simple, room is available or not.

A month or so ago (In this thread I believe) someone posted a picture of the unfinished pool with 2 construction workers standing beside it. The picture provided a visual "scale" that was hard to miss. I mentioned to my wife, "The pool looks incredibly small" Unfortunately, it looks like that assumption was correct.

That would be my pic from late April. Zero entry on the other end but the pool is very small.
