Has anybody tried Isla Pasion in Cozumel?

If you had to compare it with Castaway Cay, what would you say about it?

Please note that there are no kids in our party so the lack of characters or kids activities is not an issue for us.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Update... We decided to go for Chankanaab instead.

We had a great time there about a year and a half ago when we ported in Cozumel. I'd go again in a hearbeat! It is far less crowded than CC, has some water toys for kids and adults and has a great Mexican lunch buffet. It's a great beach to spend the day at. You won't regret going. We rented jeeps and drove to the ferry to get there. That was half the fun!!

It doesn't compare to CC, but it was still fun . . . until the Carnival Cruise guests showed up. Seriously. We did the Passion Island by Twister excursion about a year ago. The Twister was awesome!!! So much fun! The beach and staff were very nice and when we first arrived, it was just DCL people. The beach is nice and there were plenty of chairs. The buffet was just ok. They were generously pouring drinks, but I didn't recognize any of the labels on the alcohol, so I steered clear. They had some fun beach games and inflatables to climb on. About an hour and a half or so into our experience, a huge Carnival excursion showed up which made the inflatables a little more crowded and raucous. Two couples sat at the table next to us and started chain smoking which wasn't so nice. All in all, it was fine (again, the Twister was the best part of it), but I wouldn't do it again.

Well, we'll be with the Carnival crowd so I hope it will be a decent group. Not too worried, though. ;)

We'll also be arriving with the Carnival crowd!

When we sailed DCL, we did the Blue Lagoon excursion in Nassau and loved it! We're hoping this is similar.

Interesting fact, Passion Island is where they film the Corona Beer commercials.

We loved Blue Lagoon as well. :)

Hello, we were there this past February and it was ok. The drinks and buffet are just alright. There was another group of people there before us, however it still wasn't crowded. Nice beach, but DD who was 18 and my husband said that they would not like to back again and I agree! All in all just ok. Just our two cents. Hope this helps. Enjoy your cruise:o

Hi group!

After reading a very complete review of Pasion Island somewhere and confirming with videos, we realized that Chankanaab would most likely fit our needs more.

Thanks for your comments!
