Just a heads up for anyone there or heading out soon TS Isaac is heading Florida's way. At the moment most of the forecast model put it off the Gulf coast so no direct hit however expect some very wet and potentially windy weather Monday/Tuesday.

Keep eye on local TV if you are there and stay safe :goodvibes

This mornings weather shows that the latest projection sees it miss most of Florida now.

oh the joys of hurricane season! The last time we went in September we got caught in a huge one, that lingered over us for 3 days!!! We spend 3 whole days inside our room at POR and they also shut WDW which is rare.. This one was such a slow moving one and the size of the UK. We 'hunkered down' as told and by the end of 3 days were nearly pulling our hair out. Mind you the day we were allowed out we went to Epcot and it was like we were the only ones there, totally empty...BLISS...:) hey ho what can you do other then go out of hurricane season..

It's not just being at WDW when hurricanes are around that can cause chaos - sometimes being en route can cause significant delays with flights so always good to keep an eye out. Nothing you can do about it, but it does help if you are more or less expecting it :)

we flew in on the tail end of another one, it was bumpy to say the least:sick: It was at day 2 of being stuck in our room that I swore never to go in hurricane season again...so what am I doing going in 10 days time!!!!

I know it's hurricane season and while I am mindful of that fact, there are so many things that can get in the way at any time of the year that sometimes you just have to roll with it :)

We had so many delays last year both ways: once due to weather on the East Coast (we flew indirect) then engine failure on the runway saw us towed back to the gate ..... blah blah ... roll on 3 hours late arriving at MCO and we thought we'd made it when we touched down in a spectacular storm only to discover that they had been forced to close all the ramps so no luggage was coming off the planes for another 90 minuts :headache:

Trouble is hurricane season lasts 6 months, so unless you go in the winter/spring there's always the chance of one... Whenever I'm in Florida at that time (as I will be in a few weeks), I'm always checking the NHC site, watching the various yellow/orange/red blobs to see if they develop - last year one did while we were on Sanibel and it started to look quite likely we would have to evacuate, then a day later it changed track and didn't affect us, apart from 3 days of heavy rain...

Hopefully Isaac will head away/weaken or something - it looks a bit less threatening then it did a day ago...

The news here are obsessed with TS Isaac. We are being warned to buy chipboard to board up our windows and to check our hurricane supplies.

We are off to Typhoon Lagoon today as the weather is lovely. So far this week the weather has been great, low humidity and warm temperatures. Some light rain in the afternoons but nothing too heavy.

We shall see what Monday brings, as that's when Isaac hits Florida.

PS, my son is very happy with TS Isaac, as they share a first name.

I'm keeping my eye on it but looks like it will have cleared out by the time we land on Thursday in Miami, thankfullly!

You should get the chipboard anyways and take it with you - you can surf on it at TL

So no issues today we have been at sea world untill about 4pm had a few showers but nothing to even worry about.. Just had a walk up to the shop & bar at all stars music, fairly warm and not a spot of rain in sight at moment.. Expecting some heavier rain and winds tonight but Issac is now totally going off track westwards from Florida, LOL just as I type this the heavens light up and it's now hammering down the rain.. Tomorrow daytime was planned as a shopping day at the outlets ...

Watched Wishes from Poly beach tonight (Sunday) and the wind was quite strong. Looking on WESH news it said that we should be back to good weather in Orlando by Wednesday :thumbsup2

...from WESH storm tracker....

We have ADR at Yak N Yeti tonight, so say hello if you see us :)

We were there in June when Debby decided to dump her rain on WDW. We just go the ponchos and crocs on and headed for the parks and still had tons of fun! Go out and enjoy yourselves :thumbsup2
