Is your Tree and Xmas decorations down?

We put everything up the weekend after Thanksgiving because my college freshman son was home. So, needless to say, we are definitely over Christmas.

I work for a toy drive from thanksgiving till Christmas so I put myu stuff up before Thanksgiving so by now I am SICK of it!

I'm going to start taking it down in about 1/2 hour. We've had it up since Thanksgiving and it's time to come down. I also like going back to work with the house in order.

I took all the decorations down yesterday and stripped the tree... (fake pre-lit one) Just waiting for DH to box it up!!! My 3 yr old DD had her arms wrapped around the tree yesterday screaming "Don't take my tree away!" :rotfl: We'll have to do it tonight after she goes to bed!!!! Outdoor lights will probably be coming down this weekend provided we don't get too much snow tonight!

I'm doing it room by room so it's not so daunting. I take after my mother and decorate every room- it looks great, but takes forever to dismantle and pack away! I'm hoping to have everything down by the end of the weekend.....maybe

Nope.
Normally the tree at least is down by now (we get real trees). The snowmen stay out all winter. The Department 56 houses stay out through January at least. My guess is that undecorating the tree will be my job this year since I'm home alone all day for the next two weeks  I'm actually anxious to take the tree down (not the other stuff though), because I'm now even allergic to the tree.

We have to leave tree and decorations up until "uncle" Dan comes over. Dan is a single friend of ours who takes great joy in visiting all of us who have families and to have a photograph taken with the Christmas tree. Last year my DW Sue took the tree down early (translation: before Dan came over), and he is still lamenting the fact that he missed seeing our tree. So we are hoping that Dan can come over on Monday so that we can pack the tree away and reclaim our living room.

Nope. We celebrate the full twelve days of Christmas, so our decorations don't come down until January 6.

Ours will be up until tomorrow, New Year's day.

Nope. I usually take them down New Year's day, but we are off to see the Lion King tomorrow, so it won't get done. Not sure if it will be Monday or next weekend, depends on how I feel and how much time I have.

I'm supposed to be doing it right now.

Our will be down by the time I go back to work on Tuesday. Luckily, we didn't decorate much so there will be little to take down and put away. I still plan to burn my holiday candles.

I was raised to keep it up until the ephipany. It's a struggle sometimes since my decorations tend to look like outdoor Christmas lights hanging from the porch in JULY right now. But perhaps, I should get off my butt and clean up the toys and it will look a lot better. I have a huge village that takes a day or two to take down, so that will be a drag. But it's a small price to pay since I love this time of year.

Okay, they're down. They aren't away but they are down. I'm a union worker, I'm entitled to a fifteen minute break.

Us too - we celebrate all of Christmas. Next weekend, they will come down =)

I bought a Douglas Fir and I can't believe the number of needles it dropped. By the time I take it down I wonder if there will be any needles left. :(

yup-DH just got the tree outside and I am (or should be) putting the last few things away. I will have to admit, I was sad to think about taking it all down. It seems like an end to the wonderful holidays and time off we had. On the other hand, things look so clean and now I can relax these last two days of vacation.

Yup, took everything down earlier this week!!!!

No way. The tree and outside decorations will not come down to next weekend. Why put up a tree and decorate if it is all gone by 10:30 am on Christmas day?

Not yet. We don't take the tree down until after Ephipany so it will come down next weekend. I really love having the tree up though. I have a tree with the lights already attached and it's so bright that sometimes I feel I'm at Rockerfeller Center in NYC!
