Is your Christmas Tree up?

She said it was prelighted. That would be quite the botanical feat if it were real. :)

Uh. I'm feigning a blonde moment :teeth: I'm glad to hear it's not real. I was worried about a botanical inferno.

BTW, OP, enjoy your Christmas tree and your trip to Disney!

We put ours up the day after Thanksgiving. Concidering your surgery and the trip, I would put mine up too.

I have a new 7 ft pre-lighted tree that I bought at the end of last year, maybe I should try it out also :) we usually put ours up the weekend after Thanksgiving.

I will be working on ours next week. We go out of town from the Friday before Thanksgiving until the Sunday after - then Christmas is right after that - we like to enjoy it for longer than a couple of weeks!

Plus, living in the land of Nov - Feb *Winterfest* Lights - it's never too early!

OMG Tell me you didn't put it up yet!? Good to see you again, if even on the boards! I missed not seeing you last July!

Debbie

Ours will be up next weekend-maybe. We brought the Christmas things in from the shed and saw that a mouse had made a home in our Christmas tree. :earseek: We left all of our things outside for the day, now all is in the garage. It would have been left outside all night if the threat of storms wasn't here.

I have to buy a new one this year! I am going to buy a 4 1/2 ft. pre-lights at K-Mart. Martha Stewart has a nice one, I am waiting for them to put it on sale! I think right around Thanksgiving I will put it up! ;)

We're just lazy. :guilty: We don't put ours up until the last week or so before Christmas. :rotfl:

No, and since we will not be home for Christmas Day (first time, but we'll be in WDW!) the deal with my DH is that we would not decorate. :guilty:
It's gonna be weird.

This will be the first time for us that we'll not be home for Christmas, too. We are going to be in Hawaii!! I'm amazed at the number of people who just assume we won't be putting up a tree.

We bought an artifcial tree for the first time this year and plan on putting it up the day after Thanksgiving. We will have our Christmas when we get back from Hawaii, a few days after the 25th.

I usually put mine up about 2 weeks before Christmas. Since I'll have a 1yo this year, I may do it even later.

I just finished putting my 10foot prelighted tree (only took an hour!)
I dont't usually put it up this early, but I am having surgery on 11/18, and then leaving for WDW Dec2-11, so I am trying to get a jump on things.

So... is your tree up yet, and why?

Not yet, I'll put it up the day after Thanksgiving. I had to laugh, though, because we're going to WDW Dec.3-10 and then I have some minor surgery on Dec. 15 so I'm also scrambling to get Christmas planning done. I'm done with my big Christmas present purchases so I'm doing pretty well.

Nope. Our tradition is to begin the decorating the day after Thanksgiving.
