Had a late breakfast there yesterday and there was a lot going on ...... pony races for the kids, twirling napkins, yells for ketchup and "ketchup stealers". As soon as we sat down, a server other than ours came and took our menues, telling us we had to share, because the manager said the menues were "endangered" species......boy was she a screamer at all the tables! The kids were invited to post their pictures on the posts and they celebrated a few birthdays. No adult was put in jail or made to ride his/her pony around during our hour there, but I observed that more than once during our stay last week.
Our server Maverick (Jeff) had fun with us - and showed us a few of his card tricks at the end of our meal.
I thought it was great fun - and we had a very late breakfast - ADR for 9:50, seated at about 10:15. It was Fathers' Day and just packed with people, even at that time of day. But our service was excellent, as was our food.
I'm sure each stay is different but I asked for water to drink, it came out in a gallon mason jar with a straw to match. The ketchup, 29 bottles on the table at one time. We had a blast!!!! Peoples' cell phones ringing, they love that!! I don't want to spoil all the surprises.
I just made an ADR for breakfast at 9:30. I hope it is a lot of fun!! ARe there any reccomendations on what to say to the waiters, etc? Thanks.
P.S. Do they do the Hokey Pokey and ketcup antics at breakfast?
Did the ketchup antics at breakfast while I was there. I didn't see the Hokey Pokey during our breakfast, but I did observe it during our week at the WL.....just can't remember the time of day. They did pony races for the kids (and those wanting to act like kids) our breakfast day. Also lots of yelling and screaming. While we were there, a young man sat down and immediately told his server he needed ketchup...before ordering anything or before even waiting for her to say anything (I guess). So she played along and announced to the whole place that although she hadn't even told him her name, he needed ketchup and needed it badly - so right away, all the ketchup arrived at his table. One thing you will find, is that when they "announce" something, it is done VERY LOUDLY for all to hear!
