Is what this phone CM said correct?

I'm hoping the CM was correct but I thought I'd see what everybody on here thought.

I booked our free dining package months ago. Then the airline changed the flight times on me so I added 2 days to the BEGINNING of our trip. I only needed the room as I have enough park passes to cover the extra days. Also they said because I had a promotion that was no longer offered, I need a separate reservation.

Now I can't book fastpasses for my first two days because the system thinks I'm room only. So Disney phone CM said, once I get to my resort, they can "unbundle" my package & I'll be able to book fastpasses & use my park passes for the first 2 days.

I'm hoping this is correct & I'll be able to get into the parks!!! Has anyone had experience with this type of booking?

You can "pickup" your tickets 3 days early. Just stop at guest relations outside the park and ask for them to be activated if the resort can't. (some of the deluxe's can but others can't)

BTW, if you happened to get travelers insurance, it might cover that required change for the airline to pay for the extra 2 days.

If you have tickets on your MDE account for enough days, you should be able to book FP. You will have to do it 60 days before each day though, since it is not part of the package. The only thing that might hang you up is that the number of days on your ticket has to match the number of days you are trying to book FP for. So if you have already booked FP for the number of days on your tickets, you will have to either add days to your tickets or cancel FP on another day.

I'm pass the 60 days but since my package starts Nov 11 & I'm trying to book fast passes for Nov 10, it won't let me. I have enough park days.

I can live without the fastpasses as long as I can get INTO the park. Which according to Accident above, I should be able to. Fingers crossed!

Did you link the room only reservation to your MDE account? We have the same situation coming up and had no problems linking both or getting FP for both. But you should be able to get the tix early. Have a great trip!

Ya my 2 day reservation shows in my MDE but when I try to book a FP, it says I don't have a valid theme park admission.

Disney IT said that there wasn't a way to change it.

You can't prebook for the two days that are prior to your package date because packaged tickets are not valid until your check-in date.

You can complete online check-in to see if that activates your tickets, but, you'll more than likely have to wait until you arrive to activate your tickets and book FPs for those two days.

As long as I can enter MK before my package starts, it'll be all good.

You can pick up your tickets early at any Guest Relations window at the parks or Downtown Disney. I think it is up to 3 days prior. We have successfully done this two days prior to our package starting. I don't think you will be able to pre-book FP+ for those two days until you pick up tickets then one day will be booked same day and one the day prior.

You could always call the MDE IT help desk to see what they can do. Maybe they have a way to move the ticket days up to your room only day, basically unbundling them from your package.

1. You can "pickup" your tickets 3 days early. Just stop at guest relations outside the park and ask for them to be activated

2. if the resort can't. (some of the deluxe's can but others can't)

1. I think it is up to 3 days prior.

1. It is now up to 10 days prior to package check-in date.
2. It has nothing to do with the "level" of the resort. (Just don't worry about that aspect.)
Do it at any Guest Relations outside any Park, or at TTC, or at either of two locations at DS/DTD.
