is what my son drinks available?

hi again everyone , i have just been speaking to my mum and she was saying the 1st time we went to orlando (about 7 years ago) she couldnt find any blackcurrent juice drinks to dilute with water for my brother , and she pointed out that if my son only drinks Robinsons Apple and Blackcurrent (the type you dilute with water) it would probably be a good idea to take some with us just incase there isnt anything of the same sort when we arrive in orlando.......
so i was wondering if anyone knows of any alternative to the Robinsons Apple and Blackcurrent that we buy in the uk or if there is some thing like this that i can buy in orlando as this is the only juice drink he will have (he wont drink fresh fruit juice either) hes fussy like his father you see !!
i would be most gratefull to hear from you if you do know of anything that would be suitable for him !!

You will find no blackcurrant juice anywhere in the US except at specialty import stores that cater to British and European palates. (I should point out that there are no blackcurrant flavoured soft drinks marketed in the US, either.) If you ask for it at an ordinary supermarket or convenience store, you will get blank looks, as Americans not only don't drink blackcurrant, most of them don't even know what it is. (I know this from experience, as my Irish mother loved blackcurrant, and never stopped hoping she would eventually find it in stores here. Never happened.)

Apple juice and apple juice blends are available everywhere. The other juices most commonly found in apple blends in the US are cranberry, grape, kiwi, strawberry and banana. thankyou for your quick response !!! not really the answer i was hoping for though !! now what to do i ask myself !!stock up on blackcurrent i guess or try to get him to drink some thing else ......... does anywhere sell a diluitable orange juice drink? like robinsons ? let me guess the answer to that question is no too!!! thanks again from genia

As you might imagine, orange juice is readily available all over Florida, but I suspect that you will find that it tastes rather different to what you are used to. UK orange juice is usually mixed from concentrate with oranges from Spain or S. Africa, and it tends to be mixed quite strong in restaurants. (I find it to be a bit much, actually; I always feel an overwhelming need to brush my teeth after drinking it.) Fresh Florida orange juice is thinner and sweeter, especially when served with ice. You may not need to dilute it at all, but if you want to, just ask for ice.

Orange-flavour soda, which is a carbonated soft drink, is NOT like UK orange squash; very different stuff.
