Is Wet and Wild worth spending an extra $70?

I'm finally ordering our tickets. (Yes, we'll have to pick them up once we get there!!) We are getting 4 day tickets to Universal. (4 days for 3 adults--including our 10 yo adult :rotfl2:--and one child is only about $10 more total than 2 days for the same number of tickets.) Anyway, I can add 4 admissions to Wet n Wild for another $70, all-in.

I know, I know, Disney's water parks are better. But we aren't doing Disnet this time, so it doesn't make sense to pay a premium to try a Disney water park. However, we have NEVER been to ANY water park and are probably fairly easily impressed. So, would you spend $70 to go to Wet n Wild one or two or maybe 3 times during a February trip? Kids are almost 8, and 10.

Hi, we have been to both the Disney water parks, Aquatica and Wet n Wild and personally, I'd say go for it.

The rides there are awesome and it has a certain charm about it.

You can get refillable drinks all day for about $9 or so along with Funnel Cakes and other fun stuff!

The music they play by the pool gives a really chilled out vibe. We were there in June 2009 and 2010 and our kids loved it.

Hope this helps! :thumbsup2

We went and wished we hadn't wasted our money. We found the whole park really dirty and overcrowded. We ended up leaving early and wishing we had tried one of the other waterparks.

I did it back in 2007 and wasn't impress by it. It was way over packed that day and the line up were insane. The next day we went to Typhoon lagoon and it was much better

The only time I went was in 1999. We thought the water park was fun. Since you aren't doing Disney this trip, it makes sense to do Wet n' Wild.

I think for the price, it's a good deal. It shouldn't be too crowded as you are going in Feb. There is really only one way to find out if your family likes it and that's to try it.

I do recall a ride that had a high height requirement as my cousin was too short and had to watch the rest of us ride (he was almost 9 yrs). He was about an inch too short. It was like a double swing (back to back) and you had to work with your partner to pump as that made your hose spray.
