DD (9) and I are not a big coaster fans (DH and DD-11 are). Just wondering if US is more of a "coaster park"? Will DD-9 and I have fun even though we don't like the coasters?
Obviously I am sure you can tell I am new to US. I have only been to the one in CA and that was 10 years ago.
Thanks for the help!!

There is only one coaster at Universal Studios: Revenge of the Mummy. (Well possibly two if you count the kiddie coaster in Kid Zone.)

At Islands of Adventure there are only two: Hulk and Dueling Dragons (plus a kiddie coaster called Flying Unicorn)

No! There's so much more than coasters!

The Universal Studios park only has 2 coasters. The Woody Woodpecker family coaster and Revenge of the Mummy (Coaster/Dark ride)

At Islands of Adventure they have Flying Unicorn (another family coaster), Dueling Dragons (with two unique tracks) and the Increidble Hulk Coaster.

Those are the only coasters on property, and beyond that there are plenty of other great rides.

I visit US/IOA with a friend who HATES coasters and rides with drops. She LOVES these parks because of all the other attractions they offer.

Thank you for the information! I feel much better about planning our first US only vacation (+IOA).

I just have to throw this in. I HATE roller coasters and I loved Mummy. I didn't really think about it being a coaster when we were in line because it's inside and I couldn't see it. My family talked me into riding it and it was great.

the rides and attractions at universal really can't compare to disney.

at universal, they are themed and some have high restrictions.
they have the water rides that any age can enjoy.

the 3-D attractions will blow you away. spiderman is kewl and at designated times , the marvel team rolls in on atvs......you can pose with them for pictures. one thing you will find at universal, the characters do talk.
disney does not allow their characters to say anything.

go and enjoy yourself, you and you family will have fun.
