Is Universal busy this time of year?

Hi all,

I just recently found this board, and I love all the info!! I have a question, I'm going to universal this coming sunday...how busy is the park this time of year? I read about an express pass you can buy at the ticket window (20$?) to avoid lines. Is it worth it? I don't want to be waiting in line for 40 minutes. Thanks

It's starting to get busy. It'll get busier as the summer rolls along. There are Universal Express books available for $15. You can also get one with a waterproof Kodak camera purchase (on speciality marked boxes). The cameras are around $10. You can also use the free Express tickets at the kiosks.

thanks for the reply. Yea, I've seen these Kodaks at my Target, but on the box it says only valid with a full price ticket purchase. I have the annual pass (US and IOA), will I be able to use the express pass with the annual pass?


Well, just went to the Kodak site and it said: The entitlements cannot be combined with any other offer, they cannot be used in conjunction with any annual pass and they are not valid for separately ticketed events

Guess I cant use it with the annual pass. Do I get front of the line access with the 15$ booklet you mentioned, if not, then what kind of advantage is offered?

You might be able to, I'd contact Universal and check. They should allow your AP to suffice, as they love their AP holders.

And your AP can be used just like a regular ticket at the express kiosks.

I would go through the parks before buying little books. See if the wait tmes justify the payment. I was there the first week of June and other than Saturday the crowds were light. Then, of course, all of the schools were not out yet!
