Is Typhoon Lagoon going to be too cold this week?

We leave for WDW on Wednesday and I wanted to go to Typhoon Lagoon on Friday. My Mom swears that last time we went in May to Typhoon Lagoon the water was freezing, so I wondered is it really cold? We will have 3-year old DD with us who is only 26 pounds and turns blue really fast! I just love TL though and hate to miss it!

It is supposed to be near 80 this week. The weather is going to be beautiful. www.wftv.com is a great local TV station.

The pools are heated to 82 degrees. so I think you will have a great time.

We were just at TL in March, it was a cool day outside and rainy, but the water was very warm (88F) and we did everything. It was great. Last May we went to TL and the weather was very warm. If I remember correctly the water was fairly warm than as well. I think they might keep the children's area warmer than the wave pool and the creek. Bring your sunscreen and have a good time!

We were at TL the first week of December, and it was certainly warm enough. May in Orlando will be just fine....

the water is generally heated to 82*F, but could be warmer due to natural solar energy.

Does it depend on the time of the day? Is is chillier in the morning but warm up in the afternoon?

We went to both water parks last May and got there when it opened and the water was warm. As the day went on and it got hotter outside, it felt great to get wet. In the morning we were not cold at all. I mean if it is a cool day and the wind blows, you might get a chill, but they keep the water pretty warm!

I am from Pennsylvania though!
