at Fort Wilderness a counter service? I've seen the menu for breakfast, a buffet, for 11.99. Any comment or suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

No it is a sit down restaurant. I have eaten there for dinner a few times and I really like it, the food is good, there is a nice selection and the price is reasonable.
There is a section of Trails End, Trails to go, where you can get pizza, fried chicken, nachos, I think that may be a counter service, but I am not sure.

We eat b'fast there once or twice each trip. It's a sit down buffet for all meals. It's very good for a relaxing start to the day, especially after a late night out. It takes some time to get to, either an internal busfrom the reception outpost area or boat to the settlement outpost from CR or MK.

The food quality is standard WDW buffet.

DW and I ate there for dinner for the 1st in Oct 07. It was SUPER lot of choices to choose from. The service was SUPER to keep soda glasses full at all time. We have ADR in May 08 already for Trails End. We loved it.

We ate there in October 2005 and it was great! We always go to buffets, even though maybe together we eat what one person would eat, but we love the selection. Great service, great food, good price!
It does take some time to get here, but to help you out, it is right next to the Hoop de Doo Revue, so if you are trying to get there, that might help.
It was interesting seeing how the bus system worked, interesting enough that we will probably never stay at FW! LOL
