Is TL or BB in your itinerary this summer?

I was wondering how many people include water parks in their trips. We are planning a day at BB in August. I'd like to go more than one day but I can't tear myself away from the parks.

Last Nov, we didn't go to TL but it was hot enough (80's). My DH doesn't like them very much. But the girls and I can't wait.

We love the waterparks! We prefer TL because we love the wave pool. I reccommend that you plan the day for early in your trip, because you might just find yourselves heading back.

Stacey,

Great idea. I'm planning a Monday (in case of weather, etc.), but another day, hmmm, maybe ;) ....

We always plan a day for TL also...we LOVE the wave pool also!

On our trip this summer, we are also planning an afternoon for BB.

We're planning a TL day on friday, July 1st. We have one Plus option left on our Park Hopper passes from last year. This year we bought regular APs with our DVC discount so the leftover Plus option will come in real handy, especially since we want to try Crush n Gusher!

We've already been to TL - went last Saturday.

Don't let weather keep you from going unless it's lightening. Last Sat. was the day Arlene was going up the coast and it was very overcast and gray - but still warm and no lightening until 4:00 that afternoon. We did actually get some sunshine - but my point is - we were there at 9:00 a.m and there were literally 9 cars in the parking lot. We rode Crush N Gusher 3 times in a row without a wait, the Shark Reef twice without a wait - and everything else we wanted to until about 11:30 without waiting. In fact the Lazy River was so empty we had to shove our way through empty innertubes at some points. It was GREAT! It started getting crowded - but still nothing as bad as a sunny day - about lunchtime and then there was a wait for some rides. Then we just played in the wave pool and did the lazy river - until lightening shut us down at 4:00 - but that was still 7 hours of pretty uncrowded fun!

We did TL last Sunday from about 10AM until 2PM. It was very quiet there. It was a sunny, hot day :sunny: and we fell in love with the place  (our first time going to a water park). We'll definitely go back on our summer trips. It's a great recharger away from the steamy hot main parks in the summer.

We love TL!

We schedule it for mid-trip...a perfect day to relax on a tropical island. It is so much fun. I love it because it really makes it feel like a vacation and not just running around the parks.

I always wish we could spend more than one day there, but the parks are always calling us back. LOL!

We always make sure to fit in a day at Typhoon Lagoon....we love it there and its so relaxing!

We have done TL before and want to do it again this summer. But we also want to try BB as we never have before. TL is such a nice break from the parks and the summer sun! We usually do it about halfway through each of our weeks.

The whole reason for our August trip this year is the Water Parks (and PI). I get cold very easily & we usually go to WDW when it's too cold (for me) to do the Water Parks. So this year I decided to go during August for the sole purpose of lounging the days away at TL & BB & giggling the nights away at AC & CW.

The one other year we went when it was hot enough for me to enjoy the WPs, we did BB every single afternoon of our trip. It was a blast!

TL is most definitely in our plans for our upcoming trip. We haven't been there since 2001 and I'm really itching to get back into that wave pool!!

DS13 & I are planning on Typhoon Lagoon early in our vacation - before we activate our APs. We have combined 12 waterpark day tickets and think its time to start using them.

We plan on doing both at least 1x. TL late sunday afternoon & BB after spending the morning at AK. :sunny:

We just got back from 10 nights at WDW. We did four days at the water parks - 3 at TL and 1 at BB. We also did Discovery Cove for one day and SW for 1/2 day. Summer time is a great time to hit the water parks and cool off.

We also did Stormalong Bay at BC/YC on our three nights we stayed there. We go about twice a year, so summer time is our time to hit the water.

We are planning a morning at BB for dh and ds (while I go to Epcot), and a morning at TL for the entire family. If my ds is perfectly happy at Stormalong Bay we may not make it, but right now it's in the plan!

We are planning on visiting both during our August trip. We usually show up right at opening then stay until 2 pm or so. Then we go back to the hotel to shower and go to a park for the evening.

We love to go to TL. DH especially loves floating in Castaway Creek. I like to do the body slides, but not Humongakowabunga. Crush n Gusher is great, just have to keep my bottom up better!
