Is this wrong?

Hey guys I'm going to babysit for my stepmom's brother and his wife this afternoon. Here's the thing, I'm 20 years of age with a couple part-time jobs this summer. They're both very well paid, he has his masters in education and she's working as a professor at a Univeristy here. The thing is, I've babysat for them a couple times and they never pay me. It would be different if it were my brother or sister's kids and I had to look after them for the afternoon but I don't even see these people that often. Am I being unreasonable by expecting to be payed, it's not like I'm 14, I just bought a car, I'm paying for my education and it costs me in gas to get over there.
What do you guys think?

I think they should be paying you. We have only had 3 people watch our ds my mil, and two of ds's brothers. I always offer to pay them. MIL doesn't take $ but one of ds's brothers does. I also baby-sit (not for family but for friends) and I always expect to be paid. I don't charge for watching my niece but they always offer though.

If they asked you, yes. If you offered without being solicited, probably not. If your stepmom "offered you," good luck.

Obviously, you should get paid! You should be up-front about it though. Since you've sat for them in the past w/o pay, you should explain that you now have expenses and need to charge them $X per hour. Good luck.
