Is this what you mean by losing inches?

On my weigh in Saturday the 21st, I didn't lose any, I had maintained. Steady at a ten pound total loss.

I haven't measured myself since starting this low carb eating plan three weeks ago.

But today when I put on my jeans, which I wear all the time as they are the only pair that currently fit, they were sliding off my butt.

Is that possible? Could I have lost enough to make my pants that loose, yet the scale not budge?

I felt like I was hula- hooping in them when I took my daughter to dance tonight. :D

That's what we mean by "losing inches". Isn't it motivating and wonderful???

YUP::yes::

That's why you buy a tape measure to go along with the scale, cause once you start losing things it easier to see just how much you've taken off. Now go buy a couple new pairs of jeans:Pinkbounc

Ain't it COOL!!??? That's exactly what we mean!! Who cares about that scale - I'll take smaller jeans any day!!

Congrats and save up some money for a smaller-clothes shopping trip! ::yes::

I can weigh 700 pounds for all I care, I just want to look great in size 6 jeans. :smooth:

Either that, or someone is playing a bad joke on you!:)

I weigh in every week, and each month I put it on a spread sheet with measurements of: Neck, bust, waist, hips, thighs, calfs, ankle and wrist.

Then I use a formula to calculate the total weight loss and the inches.

I need to do it by this Sunday, but, last month I lost 33 lbs. and lost over 28 inches!

Overall, I lost 6" in my bust and 5" in my hips. Over 7" in my waist.

It's great to see and better to feel!:bounce: ::yes::

Yeah, Baby!!! You are melting Liz, and doesn't it feel great to have those jeans just slide right off!:) Don't rely on the scale too much, as it can be very fickle! You are doing a GREAT JOB, girl, and congratulations on all your hard work!

Thank you everyone. I'm blushing.........

Could you email me an example of your spreadsheet and formula? I am afraid I am terrible at such things.

I'll take inches over pounds anytime! Great job.

Congratulations! That is a great feeling, isn't it?! When it first happened to me, I thought it must not be true, that my clothes were old & stretched out, LOL. But, ALL of my jeans? *giggle* Good going! Keep Up The Great Work! :D

Having your jeans get baggy on you is a much better feeling than seeing the scale going down:) I know we all like to see it go down but oooooooooo how great it feels to go down in size!!!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: Good Job!!!! Congratulations:teeth:

Sounds like it's time to go shopping!:teeth: Way to go! I love my tape measure. It's more my friend than the scale.

that's terrific. I am in the process of losing my scale, and concentrating on the fact that I lose inches. My scale won't budge, but the clothes are falling off!
