OK so good news I get a 20% discount through my company for Alamo rental cars. Works out great we only want it for about a day to check out Orlando.

Originally when I looked at almo rates before I had the code my rate when it was all said and done was $71.62 (under 25 and getting reemed for it)

With my company's discount $147.43 the same time and dates and everything I just entered the code!!!!

Isn't that nuts!!!!! :furious:

It's fairly common for rent-a-car codes to be useless. If you code is for 20% off the rack rate, it isn't going to be any good at times when the going price is 40% off the rack rate.

Business travelers get hosed.

Sometimes....

My mom's company (Ford) has discount codes through Hertz that are absolutly excellent (usually save around $50 off going rates) that are used for company and leisure travel. Same with Marriott....

I was just about to say the same thing. I was looking at rates in the 250s for a week in October. On a whim, I used my company code at Alamo and got it at $150 for a class upgrade. Apparently the business travelers will be getting the deals that week

Are you looking to book weekday or weekend? Weekend rtes will be much cheaper.

Also, what in "Orlando" were you looking to check out? It might not be worth the while...
