My DH just told me he had heard that after the parks close, everybody leaves, but resort guests are allowed back in for a couple of hours?? is he making this up?? haha :rotfl:

that would be wonderful if true..

anybody know?

Yes, the parks are staying open 3 hours later for resort guests. What park depends on the day.

They are called Extra Magic Hours or EMH. You will see a lot of threads on the boards about them.

Yes, they're called Extended Magic Hours or something like that. Search the board for EMH and you'll see a ton of threads. :D

thanks soooo much!!! i thought EMH meant that's when the resort guests went into the parks an hour early on select days.. thanks again!!!

it's both, an extra hour on some mornings and a few extra hours some evenings
I do wonder how they make all the other guests leave though

Disney hotel guests get extra magic hours either early in the morning or late at night depending on the day. For example Epcot was open last Thursday night from 9pm to midnight for hotel guests only. You get an arm-band while at Epcot to identify you as a hotel guest. Most but not all rides are open during these extra hours. We walked right onto Mission Space during this time.

Other parks have different dates and times. WWW.wdwinfo.com has more details on these extra magic hours for disney hotel guests.

Another tip is to check out annual passholder discounts at www.mousesavers.com. We needed two rooms at Caribbean Beach and saved over $700 by buying one annual pass.

Castmembers scour the resort for people, clearing shops, paths and restrooms, the same way the do before special events held in the parks in the evenings. Castmembers are very good at clearing the parks, not a problem there.

I don't know if they still do it this way, but when you used to have to pay for E Night they wouldn't let anyone without a bracelet on any rides or attractions after official closing.

I don't believe they force them to leave, they are free to shop and spend money as much as they want ;-) ... however, without a wristband, they cannot do any rides or shows.
