I have read that it will take about 45 minutes to get from the All Star Resorts to MK. (on Dis. transportation) Is this true? I sure hope it takes less time than that.

I don't remember it taking that long. 15 - 20 minutes.....and the time flies because I'm always looking out the window and all of Walt Disney World around me. Don't worry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

having used Disney transport from Dixie (PoR) & CBR - I can tell you it takes the longest to get to MK. I agree with above post - just relax and enjoy the ride.

We found bus service to be excellent at ASMO. We left the resort at 7:00am (for EE), a bus was right there, and we were at MK by 7:20. In fact my video shows the clock on Main St saying 7:35 when we were walking down there. So for us, it was 35 minutes from ASMO to Main St and that includes time waiting in line before the park opened.
No way did it take 45 minutes. Dont worry. :)

If you just miss the bus and are counting 'waiting time', it could take 40 minutes, max, but that's not the norm.

I recently told someone to allow 45 minutes for travel from ASMU to a PS @ MK, but that is just to allow buffer time in the event of something happening (missing a bus or something)--it shouldn't normally take that long.

I had heard that it only take 10-15 to get to the MK from the All Stars. I also heard that the bus transportation from the All Stars was the best in WDW. Hopefully it will be when ContempoSMT and I go in June/July!

Unless you are travelling at a really off time and just missed a bus, it shouldn't take more than 20-25 minutes. We usually only had to wait about 5 minutes for a bus at ASMo. The busride itself is about 10-15 minutes to the MK, but it goes by really fast because it is fun looking at the rest of the world. Don't worry, we had great bus service at ASMo when we were there last June.

We found the bus system at ASmo to be just awsome. We were there in January and never waited more that 10 minutes. We had planned to use our car for places like FW and DD but after such good luck to the parks we ended up using it for everything. We never moved our car all week! We also used it for an 8:00 Ps at Ak and had no problems.

we usually stay at moderates, but last june we stayed at ASmu and boy were we pleased with the efficiency of the buses at the all stars! we never had to wait more than 10 minutes, and once on the bus, the trip to the mk was only 10-15 minutes. :)

Once on the bus it is about 12-15 minutes, and this is the longest ride. Now, if the line is really long they may be counting the time it takes to wait for the bus. When we were there this past New Year's Eve we waited for a bus for about 20 minutes and then the 15 minutes to get to the park. Still not a bad wait.

Getting home at the end of the night can be a different story. Last summer, my sister, my son, and I waited through three busses before getting on the 4th for a return to POR. That was about 35 minutes waiting and another 10 minutes on the bus. Even given this, it doesn't seem that bad.

I think it COULD take you 45 minutes if EVERYTHING went wrong: if you walked up to the bus stop and saw your bus pull away (so that you had to wait the longest possible time for another one), then if it took a long time to load, then if the bus made another stop on the way . . .

it's POSSIBLE, but highly IMPROBABLE.

Some of the resorts are pretty far from the Magic Kingdom, but consider this: it'd take you the same amount of time to drive in your own car (maybe get lost) PLUS you'd have to park, walk to TTC, cross the river . . .

you're better off using Disney's bus system.

The bus RIDE itself is no more than 15 minutes. Include waiting at the bus stop and you are looking at a longer trip. Sometimes it will take 20 minutes (if you don't have to wait long), sometimes it will take 45 (if you do). Your average is probably going to be around 25 minutes. Haven't stayed at AS recently, so it may have gotten better. Keep this in mind, Disneys tells you to leave at least an hours transportation time when using WDW transportation - even they realize some trips COULD take that long.

Don't worry, the buses will get you there. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. Just don't go expecting it to be 15 minutes. That's not realistic and you'd be disappointed if that is how you set your expectations.

Hi ilovdisney2,

Go to this link for a
transportation engine to let you
get an idea of how, and how long
it takes, to get from point A to
point B in disney. Good luck.

PS- it says ASMov to MK is 23 min.
