I called today to talk to a guide regarding purchasing and wanted info on financing and the incentives that are going on now for Animal Kingdom Villas and they assigned me to a guide but stated that no guides work on Sunday. I want to know if this is true as today if most convenient for me to get the info and discuss with DH as the incentive ends on Saturday and we are on the go Mon through Sat with work and the kids activities.

I know that our guide works on Sunday and takes Monday and Tuesday off.

I'll tell you this is really turning me off to even doing this. I asked what is I want another guide and not the one I was assisgned meaning someone who is available today and they just said to make an effort to call from work or at night. That would be fine except I can't call from work as I really don't want others knowing my personal business and we are in a dead zone for cell phones, so that isn't an option at lunch time either. I'm sure most of you can relate to working all day not getting home until after 5 and then having soccer practice, karate, art lessons, music lessons and tutoring along with trying to get supper and homework done, today would have been a great day to get the info discuss and decided if this was for us, we have no time during the week.

I have very mixed feelings on this.

I understand that a salesperson's job is to sell and that they need to be accommodating if they want to earn some people's business. But on the other hand, I think you are being a little bit unreasonable for giving them such a narrow opportunity to earn your business.

Now if you had called 3-4 days ago--even if the call was placed at midnight--and said "we want to buy but the only time we have to talk to you is between noon and 6pm on Sunday", I suspect you would have gotten that call. It may well have been placed at halftime of a football game while you Guide was enjoying a day off--but most seem willing to make those accommodations.

If the call had not come, you would be justifiably dissatisfied with the service. But I don't think you've really given them a fair opportunity to perform thus far.

At this point you would seem to have two choices:

1. Don't pursue it. As you said the incentive ends on Saturday and that obviously rules out speaking to someone next Sunday. Chalk it up to "I guess Disney doesn't want my business."

2. Be a little flexible and try to arrange a call this week. I have received calls from my Guide as late as 10pm. Leave a message for yours that specifically states "the only time I will be available is between ___ and ___ on ____ and I would like to get a call back." See if they can accommodate your schedule with a little advance notice.

Yes I guess I'm not being flexible, it is just so hard during the week. Not getting to read the boards very much I just happened to see the incentives to buy into Animal Kingdom Villas today and DH was interested, he has never wanted to even consider this, but with the incentives he said go ahead and get some info today and lets take a look and see if this will work for us. So I guess I was just a little disapointed and suprised that I just couldn't get any basic info.

I hope you do get your info and your phone call back or you can take time to make a phone call out , maybe as you are driving home from work, watching the kids at practice, or even as you walk in after all activities are done for the day- Our Guide is off on Sunday & Monday- I am only off Sundays & Tuesdays, schedule permitting- & as intermittent as the calls were- I was able to get much of my information from these boards and then developed lists of questions to ask of things I couldn't find or saw different answers for here- He took his time with me and yes, one night we talked for almost 3 hrs as I couldn't get him on the phone all day- (he can't call me until I sign a statement saying he can due to Do Not Call List- State of Fla is very strict, even if the cust has called and inquired, lft msg w/ ph # etc- they can't call you if you are on that list- so also keep that in mind- I kept calling until I could get him- When I did, he gave me all the time I needed- We spoke on 3 occassions before I completed anything- again because I was researching all options and deciding if it would be right for us- He was a gem- Try and find a few free moments, have questions ready on a pad where you can jot down notes as you talk, that way you have enough info to give to your DH and then when ready, before incentives, etc- call back- it will be quick to do any necessary finishing items and then you will be set! Good Luck! If it is for you, you will know it but don't let the DGuides schedules determine that- determine it for yourself after getting all info!

I have to agree with tjkraz even though I can understand the OP's frustration during this time of excitement. I would be willing to bet your guide will call when it suites you so long as you give him or her enough notice. Don't let this sour you and good luck!
