Me, my DD 7, and my DH will be arriving 12/8 and staying for 6 nights at the BC. I have to do my ADR's in a couple weeks. I don't know what parks on which days yet-will wait until hours come out on 6/1. But, I have sort of an idea of the places we want to eat. I think I may have packed too much in to the trip. Also, any opinions on better restaurants would be appreciated. Breakfast most of the time will just be a quick meal in the hotel room like pop tarts, etc.. I am open at this point to any reviews. I have never stayed at the BC so I'm not sure if there are better places to eat around the area. What do you all think? Thanks everyone. :bounce:

Well, your choice of restaurants is good... but two TS almost every single day?! Wow that's a lot of food and time and money!!! I hope you're doing the Dining Plan! Even then, you'll be paying a hefty amt in OOP meals. Actually doing this much TS might not be worth it if you aren't using the CS/Snack credits.

I could never do it, and as a 7 year old I definitely couldn't handle it, but different strokes for different folks.

IMO you're trying to fit in a little too much. I prefer 1 TS per day at the most (and some even say they get tired of this after a week) and the rest snacks/counter service.

If it were me I'd do:
8th- Cape May dinner
9th- CS at AK, 1900 Park Fare for dinner
10th- CS for lunch, Le Cellier for dinner (if you can't get an ADR for Le Cellier that you want, Coral Reef is another good choice- we're doing both on our trip)
11th- CS for lunch, HBD Fantasmic package for dinner
12th- Crystal Palace for lunch, CS for dinner
13th- Breakfast at CRT, Beaches and Cream for a late lunch/early dinner
14th- Cape May Char Breakfast, BBB, good CS in DTD like Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express
(although this is two character breakfasts in a row- you might want to split this up, but you said your days weren't set anyway).

I'm someone who appreciates good food and good times but likes to get as much out of the parks as possible as well. I don't like spending too much time sitting down in restaurants.

If you really want to focus on character meals and good food- go for it! It's your trip afterall!! :teeth:

Okay, this is definitely too much ESPECIALLY if you are on the Dining Plan. Unless you are having a very early lunch and a late dinner, you are going to be wasting food either way. I usually schedule an ADR for breakfast & dinner, and get a little something.. maybe a CS meal if I feel like it for lunch. Plus I like to eat popcorn during a parade or something like that. So what times were you thinking of?

Out of your ADRs, I have eaten at Rainforest, 1900, Hollywood & Vine, Crystal Palace, Cali Grill, & Beaches. All were excellent. Although, I ate at Hollywood & Vine in 2002 and it was a mix of breakfast & lunch because we got there late. There have been bad reviews for it lately, though.

:)

As far as I know - Bistro de Paris isn't open for lunch - just dinner

That's correct. I just checked allearsnet.

There are days where we also have 2 TS restaurants scheduled but I would spread them out as breakfast and dinner only and have a very light lunch. You have 4 days in a row where you're eating a sit down lunch and dinner in the same day and my fear for you is that you'll be too full still from lunch to enjoy their wonderful dinners.
If I were you, I might skip Beaches & Cream that day and instead try and sneak in for just a No Way Jose sundae instead of the whole lunch meal. And I'd definately change Crystal Palace to breakfast that day. This way you can still eat there (fun characters!) but you'll be spaced out better to be hungry for dinner. Same thing with character meal at H & V. If they do breakfast now, I'd move it to breakfast and eat a light lunch that day. While I love Rainforest Cafe, I never eat there at WDW as they have locations in other parts of the country too so I'd skip that one too.
Hope this helps. If it makes you feel better, I have "over-extended" my TS restaurants too. We will be doing lots of sharing!

I think you have to be careful with two TS per day.

For instance, when we go we are doing the following for 3 straight days in the middle of our trip.

Day 1
Biergarten - 12:30 pm lunch
California Grill - 7:30 pm - mainly for fireworks, but we will only do apps and dessert and may cancel

Day 2
Chef Mickey's - 11:20 am breakfast
Whispering Canyon - 5:30 pm dinner - This will not be a heavy dinner and probably mostly salads - going for the activities

Day 3
Kona Cafe - breakfast
Boma - 5:15 pm dinner - We will pig out here probably.

What I also need to state is that these are our lite park days and swimming will done for the boys as well as other activities so we should be a little hungry when we are ready to eat.

If you are going for something other than eating and watching what you order, you should be fine with all the walking you will do.

Our meal was so bad in January for dinner that I would only chance it again, if on the DDP.

Try the cobb salad at Brown Derby!!! yum!!!

Have A Great Trip!!!!

When I went on my honeymoon we did two TS everyday. It worked out great for us, because we love to eat out and sit down to nice long meals. We were rarely hungry, which actually saved money on snacks and whatnot. We are torn over whether or not we should do the dining plan this august, because we usually eat at so many ts places. If you enjoy sitting and eating and being waited on, it is probably not too much.

I think I will take a couple off and make my DD and DH choose their favorites. Thank you all so much for you info. I didn't mean to put Bistro de Paris--I was thinking about Les Chefs de France--oops. I am not on the DDP. I will have to pay for all this. However, we won't be going back to Disney for at least 3 years so I wanted to pack it all in. Also, did you mean the Cape May clambake was awful or the Cape May Character breakfast? I just wondered. The only reason I chose it was it was at our hotel so we wouldn't have to travel anywhere. Would Flying Fish be better for our first night dinner? My DH is so disinterested that this is the only place I can get good advice. He wants me to do it all :) Thanks everyone
