If you are big eaters, your list looks good.

It gets really hot in June and makes us lose our appetites. If you are like my family, then you have too many big meals on Thurs., Fri., and Sun. and I would leave out one meal on each of those days. We usually go for 2-3 weeks in June or July and only eat at a few sit down restaurants.

I don't know about US Portofino area, sorry can't help you here.

There's a lot of Boma in there - you ought to try Jiko one night!

Other than that, your list looks fine. Enjoy all the good eatin!

We'll be staying at the Portofino Bay for 3 nights in July. I snagged a bunch of ½-Price restaurant gift certificates for the CityWalks restaurants at this site:
CCOrlando - ½ Price Dining e-Store

The site is legitimate. It's affiliated with several Orlando-area radio stations. A lot of people on the USF/IOA boards have already used them. The GCs cost $25 plus shipping but are valued at $50. Shipping was relatively fast (less than one week). I even had a problem with one GC that was set to expire before my trip and they exchanged it with no problem.

We've always enjoyed the Hard Rock Café whenever we've been to Universal and this will give us a chance to try some of the other restaurants. I'm looking forward to trying the Motown Café and Pastamoré as well on this trip.

I know that you didn't ask for ways to save on meals, but at these prices, it may be worth it to try a few of them.

Looks great to me. There is so much to eat at Boma, two nights..you could have totally different meals..lol. Or, try Jiko one night. Either way it will be fine. You did a great job with that..some excellent choices.

As far as Portofino..you will love it. Plenty of great places to eat there.

For breakfast..they have a buffet in the main restaurant, can't remember the name. It gets very busy later in the morning. You can eat inside or out. Food is very good. They also have similar breakfast buffets over at RPR (Islands), and at HRH (The Kitchen).
You can reach either one by catching the boat to city walk, then the resort boat. Doesn't take long at all.

For lunch/dinner. The buffet is also open at Portofino, same restaurant as breakfast. There is also a quick type place..used to serve pizza and sandwiches..we haven't been in there for a while though. It was good last we had it about a year ago. I have heard Mama Dellas is good. Portofino also has upscale..Delfino Riviera..very nice, wonderful food.

Islands over at RPR also has a different buffet..well, rotating, I think there are 4 different choices/different nights. Emeril's Tchoup Chop is also at RPR.

For dinners we aren't impressed with the restaurants at HRH.
HRH does have a cool ice cream place though.

On city walk, very easy to get to from your resort..great places to eat. The Latin Quarter..wonderful..but, make a reservation..as the word is out and the waits can be very long. Don't rely on your room key/next available seating for this...remember 20 people in front of you could have room keys also.

We also like Emeril's for lunch or dinner. NBA city is very good.
We like margaritaville, mainly for snacks/drinks. Nice place to wind down, relax, sit on the deck and watch the people go by.

Inside the parks..across from dueling dragons in Islands of adventure..we like to have a quick meal at the restaurant inside the big tree. If we want a sit down, while at IOA..we go to Mythos. We have also done the character meal at Confiscos..that was fun. I think it has changed a little though.

At Universal park, we stay away from mels. Back by the irish pub, there is a great little sandwich place..they use boarshead meats..wonderful. You can also eat in the pub/restaurant. Usually live music..lots of fun.

Hope that helps. You can also check out uescape.com

wow, you must be big eaters with all those places!!

we find it overwhelming to eat at too many sit down places,
not to mention EXPENSIVE, and time consuming,

maybe you can afford it, but like another poster said,
it is hot and hard to eat alot when that way...

just make sure you will get your money's worth.

boma alone is $24 per adult and $10 for kids!!
not sure the number in your party, but that add's up!

Thank you for your input.
I have been wondering if it is too much or enough. I figure this will be our once in a life trip to WDW as there is so many places we'd like to go. Hawaii next, I hope, in 2 years. I figure we can cancell anything we feel like is too much or if my 2 DD's get tired of character meals. I'd love to save some $ (poor teacher here), and head off site and use the some cheap-o coupons on a few meals. I figure we will only eat 2 meals a day and then some kind of healthy snack, (yeah right) to tie us over till the next meal.

mad4themouse, thanks for the tip, I'm gonna check that stuff out, I'm always looking to save some cash, that's how I've been able to get our vacation as nice as it's going to be ( I hope).

webray, thanks for the website. I'm heading to it asap.

Thanks, YO

Your list looks great!...similar to mine actually! We too are heading to Universals(HRH) after our WDW stay and plan on eating at Mythos & Margaritaville. Still need to pick 1 or 2 more though!

I think your sch looks great. One can only eat so many hamburgers or pizza, lol. We have sch atleast 1 ps meal a day for our next trip. Yes for our family food is a big expense since we only have 1 left that is under 3. But part of the fun is trying all the good spots to eat.

I think your list looks great, if you decide to skip a meal or try something else than you can do that.

Try Emerils new place Tchop Chop. If you go to his site they have menus www.emerils.com

mad4themouse,
I can't get on that website, any help?

Thanks to the rest of you, I think Mythos and Margarittaville sound good.

I have not found any other info on a buffet at PBR.
I'll keep looking.

I think your list looks great also.
The only thing I would change would be Cape May and Chef Mickey's on the same day. Might be character overkill. Maybe split them up and do one character meal at the beginning of your trip and one towards the end.
Isn't planning fun ???
