Is this too good to be true?

I looked at the Last Minute Travel website for 5 day Park Hopppers we will need for our trip in May. The price it gave me was $170 below anything else I've found. How can they be so much cheaper?

The only thing I can think is maybe they are the promotional "pay the kids price" that are only good through April 30. I did live chat with an agent and they said the tickets are good for our May trip. It just sounds too good to be true.

What do you guys think? Does anyone have experience buying just tickets from them?

Yes, the promotional "Kids Price" is going on! :)

I thought the "Kid's Price" ends April 30th - OP is going in May. I also tried the live chat but the agent said she could not answer my questions since she was not familiar with DL tickets - strange. I called and that agent said that they are regular parkhopper tickets good anytime. I also asked if they charge a handling fee and was told no but can not verify this since I would have to create an account to check it out. If this is true, it is a big savings - for us, a 5 day ph online is $209 and theirs is $158.

Hoping someone has had experience with this company.

I am also intereseted in hearing whether this company is legit or not, I would love to save a lot of money on our tickets for our April trip.

Well I tried to purchase tix through them, but it keeps saying my billing info does not match. I tried at least 5 times (while checking my bank website to make sure none were going through). Disneystore had no trouble with my credit card billing info just an hour later though. No idea what the deal is.

I just created an account to check this out. I added a ticket to my cart and went all the way through checkout until I had to enter a credit card, and no additional taxes or fees popped up.

I am now in a live chat session & was told that the price is indeed "what you see on the summary page."

So I asked her to confirm the expiration date on the tickets I would be receiving if I purchased. I clearly explained that Disneyland is currently offering two types of tickets with expirations of April 2010 or January 2011. I am now on "virtual hold" as she clearly doesn't know the answer. I'll post more if I get any additional info.

Well, I tried......the live chat agent could not answer my question and suggested emailing the company during the week. It looks like emailing the company next week is the only way to know for sure which expiration dates these tickets will have. :confused3

Edited to add: The following is what I saw for March rates, not sure what will come up for May rates- I can't seem to bring up May GAT rates but do think they will be higher again as the promo will be over by then, where the adult ticket is same cost as kids ticket.

GetAwayToday.com has very good rates as well on their tickets. They also carry the 6 day Park Hopper passes! ($9 or so more than the 5 day one at lastminutetravel.) http://www.getawaytoday.com/destination/DisneylandResortArea.aspx

You may want to check out GAT's prices. LOTS of DIS'ers on the boards have purchased tickets through them.

You receive a voucher that they mail in to you, that you would then take to the ticket window to redeem for the park hopper pass.

could the kids tickets for 5 days really be $25 less apiece thru last minute travel than from anywhere else?

I'd be nervous based on what the PP said about how the customer service rep didn't know the answer about expiration. It sounds to me like it might be the "kids price" deal that ends April 30th, and they were just still selling them? Until I got a SOLID confirmation from the company, and had it in writing so I could come back to them afterward if I got to the park and had to shell out money because of invalid tickets, I wouldn't buy them.

I was able to play with the GAT site and enter a May departure date and the rates did jump up...$204 adult/$174 child on the 5 day hoppers. It does appear that the initial price that comes up is a variation on the "Kids Price" promo.

Sorry I did not catch when she was going, I just know that right now the "Kid's Price" is going on. My bad.

Yes, but don't they expire the end of April and the OP said their trip was in May?
oops..didn't read all the way :) isn't this the company that had the $1 for a night deals awhile back?

Looks like this is being discussed in another thread and one of the posters did buy the tickets:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2384846

Since the poster is going in March it doesn't answer the question if the tickets are good after the "Kid's price promo" but looks like we should keep an eye on the website.

MODS - might be good to merge the two threads

its possible. i know where to get 2fer PH for $72. if you x2 that, thats 4 days for $144. Not sure if they get it from the same source or not...
