Is This Tacky?

I'm not sure I'm posting this in the right place or not, mods, feel free to move it, it may belong on the restaurant boards, but I also feel it could belong here, or even the resorts board.

Okay, to get to the point, I have six signature dinners planned. I am not planning on going back to my resort during the day, which is Pop. I am eating at the following places;

Grand Floridian - Citrico's*
Contemporary - CA Grill
AK Lodge - Jiko
Wilderness Lodge - Artist Point*
Boardwalk - Flying Fish*
Dolphin - Blue Zoo*

* - nights I'm definatly going back to the parks.

Would it be tacky to take a light-weight dress in my day bag, that is easy to change into, and change in either the parks or resorts bathrooms? And then change back after dinner, since most nights I plan on going back to the parks.

Or would it be suitable to just wear a nice pair of capris, and just change my top before dinner? The only problem with that, is that I only have one nice pair of pants that I would feel comfortable with wearing in the parks, and if they get messed up, I'd need a new plan.

I do have one of those Tide-to-go pens in case I get a small stain or something.

DH and I had a dinner at California Grill this last trip, but hit MK before and after (it was a late EMH). We actually changed IN THE CAR in the parking lot! After dinner it was pretty late and we were tired so decided to just drive back to BWV and crash, otherwise we'd have changed again in the car to go back to the parks. On our last day, we went from MK to tea at the Grand Floridian and it was the only hot day of our trip, so we took tops to change into before tea that we could also wear on the plane. Again, changed in the car in the GF self-park lot. :) We had originally planned to use the restrooms in the resorts, but decided we didn't want to lug our grubby park clothes, even in a bag, into the restaurants.

I see nothing wrong with changing clothes in the restroom.

When we go to Disney in the winter months we usually wear shorts and tops during the day and then go to our locker and get out slacks and jackets for evening. We change in the nearest restroom.

About changing in the car.... :rotfl: ...okay I admit it I am guilty of doing it on occasion.

 It was sort of a spur-of-the-moment decision when we decided we didn't want to carry our stuff in with us. I assure you, we were discreet and it was dark (the first time anyway). Geez, I hope the tag fairy isn't reading this thread!

When hitting the local amusement parks I bring with me a light weight blanket or towel for two to through over the windshield. The rest of the windows I can stay clear of.

That being said, there is NOTHING tacky about changing before going to dinner.

ENJOY!!

First time we ate at CG (Sept. 05) I wore nice slacks into the restaurant and then I changed (in the mini-van) into my shorts. No big deal-no one could see in! :goodvibes

Then we went to MK for the evening.

No problem.

Sometimes I drive to Blizzard Beach and get changed in the (rental) car before going in. Some folks may think it is tacky to go through the turnstiles that way and I would definitely not be allowed on the bus if I relied on that and I changed in the resort room first.
