In the planning stages for a December trip, looking at actual times for meals with Park hours. While searching I put in 5/16 date for Epcot which says the Park will open at 9am... yet Akershus says it starts serving breakfast at 8am. Soooo.... is it possible to have an 8am ADR if the park doesn't open until 9?

Yes, a lot of the Disney park restaurants offer breakfast reservations before the official park opening time. If I remember correctly, you can go to a separate entrance line that's specifically for folks with PPO ADRs (at least that's what happened at MK when DH and I booked an early breakfast at BoG last year).

We have an 8:04 PPO Akershus reservation for our Epcot day. We're hoping to get some nice, empty park MM photos too on our way there!

It's called a Pre-Park Opening (PPO) breakfast. A lot of people use these to get a "jump" on the crowd for popular attractions, like Frozen and 7 Dwarves Mine Train in Magic Kingdom. Keep in mind though, park hours could change so that the park opens an hour earlier, at the same time as the restaurant, and you would lose that time advantage. It can particularly happen during busy times, and they decide that they need to add hours.

i think MK hours change the most. So frustrating when you have a whole plan around being there early
