Is this remotely doable?

O.K. we only have 3 days at DL and I want to try and make sure that we experience all the parades/Fantasmic/fireworks we can. Yes, we will do the rides but the parades and so forth really add to the Disney experience for us. So here's my question. On our first day Disney's Electrical Parade @CA Adv. is at 8:45 and then Fantasmic @ DL is at 10:30. Will I have time to catch both? Unless I am overlooking another time during May25-27th (we leave on the evening of the 28th) this is the only time the electrical parade is offered @ CA Adv.and Fantasmic at DL. I would like to try and catch both but if I have to choose I will definately go with Fantasmic. As much as I would like to see the Fireworks the first night we are there, there is simply no time. So we've put that off till the 26th. So, is this doable? Can I catch the electrical parade and Fantasmic all in one night?

Try to find a place where the parade begins not at the end. I'm not sure where would be the best place for the start of the parade but I'm sure the great Dis folk can help! If you do this, you should have plenty of time to get over for a good spot to see Fantasmic

You shouldnt have a problem at all. I would recomend you catch the train from mainstreet over to NOS. Otherwise, you are likely to feel like you are going against the traffic of those trying to leave DL or firework crowds.

Great! Thank you. It's so strange. I've been to WDW so many times I've prided myself on being a Disney expert but DL feels like a whole new world. I don't want to cram things in but like I said you really feel the magic at parades and shows. Do you think we should do the Fantasmic buffet or should we be ok without it?

Yep. Watch the electrical parade back near (across from, in my opinion) Jumpin Jellyfish. Once it's done, walk along the side, take a left at the Golden Dreams theater, go around Grizzly River Run (I used to say take a left, but DangerMouse says to take a right...and next time I go I'm taking a right b/c DM is smart), past Soarin', and go on out and across to DL.

I've never seen Fantasmic, but when we do, I don't plan on getting the dessert thing. But quite a bit of that is b/c DS and DH can't have corn syrup or related products, and without knowing what's in those desserts, DS won't eat it and DH wouldn't enjoy eating it (nor the hot chocolate), so it would be seriously wasted money *for us*.


We get there on the 25th, by the way, and might or might not be going to the parks that night. If we do, we'll be doing the same thing as you, so keep an eye out for us! (we have APs and that day is blocked out, so we'd have to pay extra). We leave on the 29th. Hope to see you there! (we should start posting pictures on the may thread, LOL)

If you are going to the 10:30 Fantasmic, I don't think you'll need the buffet. That showing always has less people. I think you'll do fine watching the electric parade and Fantasmic, however, the train might not be going at that time since the fireworks show at Disneyland starts at 9:25. You might need to do the famous "walking through the stores" route. The electric parade starts in Paradise Pier, next to the Maliboomer. From there, I would head up the parade route with the end float (tribute to America) and then turn left towards Grizzly River Run. It will be a little less crowded, and you can go through that area, into Condor Flats (passing Soarin"), and then make a left at the "trains" restaurant area to exit the park. You'll beat the parade to that area, and it will be a quicker exit for you.

We were just there last week... just like you... WDW vet but new to DLR. It is definately doable. It is so easy to get from the 2 parks. Both parks are in the "secured" area so you don't have to go through another bag check before entering the other park. That is a BIG time saver. We didn't do the buffet... it just seems costly for Dessert. I have a sweet tooth but how much Dessert can one really eat????

When watching the electric light parade I would sit on the Grizzly side of the park and do what others have said. The parade was over around 9:20 but it started late on Friday. When we did Fantasmic we watched the Fireworks and then went to find a seat for Fantasmic and we had a great spot.

On Friday... we went from Pixar at 5:15 to DL 6:30 parade and had a spot on the curb on Main street then went back to CA for some rides and watched Electric at night... my girls called it the Disney Parade Triatholon I was thinking we should do Fireworks and another shot at Fantasmic but the kids were tired

We've done the Electric parade then went over for the 10:30 show of Fantasmic. It's a bit of hurrying but doable!

We'll have to nights on our trip to see the parades/shows. We plan on doing the EP, and then fantasmic. And hopefully see fireworks our last night.

So you were able to do the parade, Fantasmic, and the fireworks? Wow! Do you think we'll be able to do that? I'd love to see the fireworks every night possible.

By the way, I love the picture of your girls at Ohana's. I LOVE the Polynesian and Ohana's is one of my favorite restaurants at WDW.

I think you could do it... you probably wouldn't get a great view of the fireworks but okay. If you stay on the Fantasmic side of the hub by frontierland you would have a better shot at getting a good seat at Fantasmic. They had Fantasmic area roped off until shortly after the fireworks so you have got a shot! I just asked a CM that day where to go and where to sit.

And thanks about the pic... I too love O'hana. It is one of those meals you leave and have to take a nap because your belly is so full!
