Is this really THAT rare?!

that is pretty rare but i think that is kind of a crazy price to pay for a virtual game

I hear a bird chirping in my ear. Ahhh....It's the bird of the clock sitting next to me!

check out his other auctions too...

pink tiki with a buy it now price of $140...

I guess when some people really want things they want them bad enough to pay anything-

I can only wish I had that sort of money to burn for that though...

I just don't get it... :confused3 It's a virtual game, emphasis on game. Why people would be willing to spend near a grand in real money on a virtual item just seems like some people take this game way too seriously.

I watch alot of these auctions, and none of the items he lists ever goes for nearly what he is trying to get for them.

Pink Tiki? Maybe $50
red Crate? Maybe $30 each
Yellow Ariel? Never seen one on ebay before but I do believe he could get $150 for it, but no way $400 - inferno and stitch hats dont sell for that much... although green flips do

a couple of months ago green flips went for almost 2,000 dollars

Most of the infernos I see for sale on ebay are around $350, so if it's true that this thing is worth 3 infernos and a stitch hat (with the stitch hat selling for $50-$75), that would make this thing worth about $1,100.

But I can't believe people would pay that much for any of those three things. Only VMK items I would pay for are the tangible things (I.E. cards, and even then, only if the codes are unused [with a couple exceptions]).

It was about $1100 - not nearly 2K, but still alot.

And the beta teacup, comparably price, is probably worth about $80 considering the approximate cost of the quest items you would have to trade for it, so, yeah, $80 is ok for that... I wouldnt pay it, but it isnt exxactly outrageous.

Infernos average at about $250 mostly, and the sticth set is hitting new lows of about $200 lately, for all 3 cards.

i am in the wrong business......

i wonder how much a cyan treasure chest goes for?;)

its funny that we're talking about this if none of us are thinking of buying anything :goodvibes

Well, I was looking to buy something or else i wouldn't have been looking on there at all. But I wasn't looking for anything like that. Just cards. But I keep getting outbid. There's no way I'm paying the outrageous prices some people are bidding for this stuff.

If you look at Completed Listings, Infernos have been going for about $330-360 Buy It Now. They haven't been $250 in a long while.

Also, I think people should note that the Yellow Treasure Chest has zero bids. So unless someone actually bids on it, it's more "the sellers dream rate" than the "value it sells for."

I'd also like to say that it annoys me when people try to sell things on ebay and can't even be bothered to use proper spelling and grammar. I mean, comeon! If you want people to buy your product...put some effort into it. Eesh.

Eh, that crazy! I don't waste my money on things I can't actaully use-- especially in the case of a FREE game. :badpc:
