With only having 1 full day in the park I want to see all the christmas things. I know with a one year old this is going to be a challenge.

Meet Santa goofy - 10 - will be in the line before.

Meet Mickey 10.30

Head straight to Santa who starts at 11.30 I'm hoping we will be there about 11.00 ready and waiting.

Walts at 12.15 - this is the bit I am worried about getting there in time for. But was hoping to see the christmas cavalcade from the window. It's on again at 13.20 but don't want to leave lunch too late as I'm planning to take DD back for a nap and want to be back in time for the parade, christmas tree lighting and dreams. :bitelip:

We got into the park by 9:30am every day and Santa Goofy had already started, we met him on the last morning as soon as we got into the park, the queue looked long but it moved really fast and Meet Mickey never really had long queue at any time so I think you'll be able to do all of that. We waited for Santa for an hour but that was because we got there at 4:15pm. I think if you're there for opening you'll be in and out within 30 minutes :)

Oh thanks I didn't expect any one to reply so quickly.

I don't think we will be getting there much before 9 even if DD is awake early we seem to gaff so much on holiday in the morning lol!

I'm planning to pop in to DLH first as well and if its Mickey when we are in there went wont go to meet Mickey as well so can get to Santa earlier.

Also what time is tree lighting ceremony?

Walts is closed Monday and Tuesday next week :(

Oh no! I really wanted to try there. Where can I find what is open?

Best of phoning I think, we wanted to go on the Monday as well. Silver spur is open as we made a reservation for the Monday but have moved it since to go to walts on Sunday evening.

Ah thanks Gem. I know it's just going to end up being cafe Mickey or Annette's at this rate.

It is a Monday Leanne? You might be lucky with Santa if it is as it might be a quieter day, but from what I am hearing people are queuing up from the end of EMH at 10am/park opening to see him at 11.30 am when it opens:rolleyes2

I don't know why they couldn't have opened at 10 am, that way people already in the park for EMH would have been able to line up for rope drop a bit earlier.....

I am not building my hopes up we'll get to see him as we won't queue for an hour in the cold when we are there for a short trip. We could be riding on BTM instead ;):lmao:. Fingers crossed for us both though that we manage to see him without too much of a queue!

It will be a Monday.

Seriously? At ten they are queuing. We aren't planning to see Santa in the UK though that's why I wanted to see him here. Night have to get DH to queue with out us for a bit. Lol.

While we where there 15-20th nov. you cud see Santa in village. That might be an option :)

What time was this from? Is it as magical thoug?

Not sure of the times. He is on a sleigh on a big stage thing. It was early evening when we saw him, about six o'clock I think. They had a photographer there Prob not quite as magical as in the park but there wasn't a massive queue

Oh thanks sleigh sounds good enough to us. :)

I know, crazy wait from 10 am ish!! :rolleyes2 Mum has said she will queue (bless her) but I don't want her to be on her own for so long, it's no fun for her.

I read about Santa in the village somewhere too - think it might have been Twitter (there is also a photo of his chair thing). It looks OK and is a second option but tbh looks nowhere near as good as the Ranch does decked out. However, you can (I believe) have a little look around there for photos etc without going to see Santa (Mum to Belle did this recently).

Can't recall the hours for Santa in the Village but had a feeling it was certain nights (could it be end of week/weekends as it always tend to be then that these things happen?) and it's only late evenings. If I find any info I will post for you.

We are doing a 'Polar Express' this year on 23rd December - very excited about it as it's the girls' first time on a proper old fashioned steam train. So, if we don't get to see Santa it's not the end of the world, but it would be nice seeing as we are there for Christmas season!! ;)

We looked in to UK Lapland in Kent looks amazing but whilst Elsie is still so young we want to save it maybe two years time we will go. But a quick trip to Disneyland pleases us all well keeps me happy which keeps DH happy ha ha DD is always happy!

DH won't mind waiting I just don't want any one to think I am pushing in to get back to him. DD just won't wait that long she will be the line jumper and will just walk to the front and as she is small she can get round anything lol!

Ill see how it goes any way. If its raining we won't be seeing him. Ill be sat inside crying at a 3rd wash out trip of the year :(

Aw I hope not for you - with all the rain we've had here too, it wouldn't be nice! But, I have learned one thing about our trips, no matter what the forecast says a few days before, you just can't tell until you are there! Our weather in June wasn't great - think the best weather we had was end Sept of our trips, but then you went then and it was a wash out!?

Yeah when we went Sept 2011 it was lovely shorts and tshirts. When we went August 07 its was cold I had to buy an extra hoodie whilst out there all the cast members had scarves and gloves on. It varies so much! Jut dry PLEASE I can cope with minus 5 but just please stay dry!

The current weather forecast is dry till Tuesday 70% chance of rain what a surprise! Leanne is here lets pee it down

It's getting colder, first time I've put the heating on in the daytime today as it was 4° feels like 2° an hour ago..now it's 6° feels like 3°

Tuesdays weather could easily move over to Wednesday this far ahead so I wouldn't be worried - check it out Saturday to see what's forecast. :goodvibes

Re Father Christmas - it isn't advised to have one person queuing and then other join them unless you want a ton of abuse - like for the rides it's considered poor form and queue jumping ;)

I dont mind if its gets colder just dont want the rain/snow

We won't be seeing him then if we are going to get abuse I could stand in line with her and have her scream (She isnt just loud its the pitch!) if they prefer for over an hour.

:rotfl:One way of getting to the front of the line :rotfl:

You are going next Monday/Tuesday ? I don't see queues of people myself..the weekend are frightning (I've done the last 2) but last week it was very quiet. :goodvibes
